Because he lied about being an insurance broker and was secretly an American citizen.
More to the point he does not support climate change action
More importantly he will not attend a Gay Pride parade.
More importantly his entire party is nothing but a proxy for an oil industry that is increasingly unimportant
Maybe were talking about different elections. I’m talking about the federal election for Canada in October 2019.
For me, I honestly didn't care that he was from the West.
If he was from the East I still wouldn't have voted PC, because while I might have agreed with some of his policies, I did not have the faith he'd carry them out at all.
Granted I had none about the other leaders, either, so I knew no matter who I voted for, it wouldn't matter. So I 'threw my vote away', as it were.
I'd rather that, then try to vote for someone and a party I couldn't have faith in.
As opposed Captain Feminist of the Black Face with the Flying Elbows and the Tickle Trunk? Dude couldn't even admit to how many times he shoe-polished up and stuffed a banana down his pantz....? Seriously, talking about liars? Do you not recall The Admiral Mark Normal Fiasco or the SNC Lavalin shenanigans? The Justin Committee? Seriously?
He didn't support a carbon Tax, which isn't the same as not supporting climate change action. Not even in the same zip-code.
He didn't attend a Gay Pride parade? Really? Have you ever attended one? I haven't, and you know what that means right? It means absolutely nothing. I haven't been to a Santa Claus parade in 40 years but that doesn't make me anti-Christmas.
And somehow the party that received more votes than any other Federal party in this last election is nothing but a proxy for an oil industry that is increasingly unimportant yet generates more revenue for the Gov't piggy bank than the entire Canadian Auto industry by about four fold. Does that mean that at least 1/3 of the nation is secretly on the oil industry dole because if that's the case I haven't gotten my secret check yet (or have I...).
If not for Scheer or someone else real, I would have voted for what's his pickle from the NDP or even Ellie May from the Greens to destroy our economy before I'd have cast a ballot for that schmuck riding on his trust fund to have another crack at tearing our country apart further than has already been done in his first term.

when the senior people are busy since the apprentice NEEDS TRAINING - and the skilled people can look over his shoulder from

You forgot to deduct all the ones that are too young to vote. ANd all the ones that are not eligible to vote that Elections Canada didnt send voter cards to. ANd all the ones that couldn't be bothered to vote. ANd when you do it by area it is closer to half the country.
We would be far better off to release all the area South of the 49th parallel, the same area that had to make a commercial to remind themselves that they are not the same as the US, "I am Canadian"
Oh yes it does. Not according to the definition in the rules book but many people vote party not local representative. Just look at the election advertising, almost all of it is directed to party and leader.
