Senator Rand Paul has jumped into the fray over spying on the President.

Sen. Paul told Neil Cavuto that it was obvious that had been under surveillance because of the leak to the press that brought down General Michael Flynn.

“Everybody admits that somebody spied on Mike Flynn, and he was part of the Trump campaign,” Paul said. “It sounds like what the president said has already been proven to be true.”

Paul’s support of Trump’s accusation that President Obama ordered spying on him, flies in the face of the narrative that the MSM is trying to forcefully push down the throats of less-informed Americans.

Paul called the MSM confused, and attributed the confusion to a difference in the definition or the term Trump used, which was “wiretapping”.

"If you haven't looked recently, most of our telephones don't have wires," Paul said. "'Wiretapping' is a broad term for surveillance."

Of course there is surveillance going on. Try to understand that is the job of homeland security and the FBI, the CIA and the Justice Department. Anyone running for an important office is of course, watched for the purpose of safety or for security of the country and it's institutions. So when certain actions or circumstances come to light that are suspicious it is the job of those agencies to investigate!!. It is their obligation to do so,.

So, when members of Trump's team or Trump himself appears to do things that could endanger either, one or all of those agencies MUST investigate.

When a member or members of an election team consorts with a known & longtime enemy of the country during an election campaign, do you not think that is significant action?? Particularly so when that enemy seems to have supplanted that country's longtime friends?

You do realize the leaks to the press seem to be coming from the White House itself??

First the release of information on John Podesta was released by the Russians through Wikileaks. Second, Podesta transferred those shares to his daughter two weeks before joining the Clinton team.

The release of information on the Trump team, was internally acquired and by the groups assigned to protect the government of the US .

Second, Putin hates and fears Hilary Clinton. His relationship with Trump is certainly much more amiable than that with Clinton.

Third,,,,,The information on Podesta was released from external souces Wikileak and Russia and that on Trump, reluctantly by internal sources. It seems that Trump himself brought the information on the investigation into his and his teams relationship with Russia by accusing Obama of wiretapping him. Wiretapping by a President is not allowed by law,

Further, Surely, Wikileaks and other hacking & falsifying information is much harder now than even six months ago.

Finally, paying attention to the avoidance of taking responsibility for an article with words like "seems, maybe, appears, or possibly" within article. Those words indicate opinion not fact.

Oops forgot, Trump did transferred all his stocks, financial management to his son very, very reluctantly. Not sure how much or little he can still control.

Russia's Largest Bank Confirms Hiring Podesta Group To Lobby For Ending Sanctions
Russia's largest bank, Sberbank, has confirmed that it hired the consultancy of Tony Podesta, the elder brother of John Podesta who chaired Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, for lobbying its interests in the United States and proactively seeking the removal of various Obama-era sanctions, the press service of the Russian institution told TASS on Thursday.

"The New York office of Sberbank CIB indeed hired Podesta Group. Engagement of external consultants is part of standard business practices for us," Sberbank said.

the whole family was involved looks like

"Game Over: John Podesta Received $35 Million From the Kremlin While Advising Clinton & Obama
The Schedule B section of the federal government’s form 278 which — requires financial disclosures for government officials — required Podesta to “report any purchase, sale or exchange by you, your spouse, or dependent children…of any property, stocks, bonds, commodity futures and other securities when the amount of the transaction exceeded $1,000.”

Podesta’s form 278 Schedule B is blank regarding his receipt of any stock from any company.

Liberals and conservatives alike tell The DCNF Podesta should have disclosed the stock.

Remember the rule about " MAY HAVE" He declared the shares and transferred them to his daughter - two weeks before joining the Democratic campaign.

Remember Trumps association with a Russian bank.....now Trump HAD to hand over his financial dealings to a third party. A family member is generally not considered a blind trust.

You will do much better reading reputable sources instead of rags similar to the Midnight or The National Inquirer. Next they will have Obama and/or Clinton dealing with little green men from Mars!!

Yes I know that stocks have no intrinsic value . Until you sell them that is . Then it becomes money .
He turned them over to his daughter two weeks before joining the Democratic campaign. Anyone can hire a lobbyist and many foreign countries do it. As far as I know neither Trump nor his son-in-law are lobbyists.

BOMBSHELL: CIA Whistleblower Leaked Proof Trump Under "Systematic Illegal" Surveillance Over Two Years Ago: FBI Sat On It

The same day House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes gave a press conference disclosing that President Trump had been under "incidental surveillance," Attorney and FreedomWatch Chairman, Larry Klayman, sent a letter to the House Committee on Intelligence imploring them to pursue the claims and evidence presented under oath at a Washington DC FBI Field Office by his client - CIA / NSA Whistleblower Dennis Montgomery - who Klayman claims "holds the keys to disproving the false claims... ...that there is no evidence that the president and his men were wiretapped"

When Montgomery attempted to deliver this information through the appropriate channels two years ago, the former CIA and NSA contractor wasn't given the time of day:

ADVERTISING

[W]hen Montgomery came forward as a whistleblower to congressional intelligence committees and various other congressmen and senators, including Senator Charles Grassley, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who, like Comey, once had a reputation for integrity, he was “blown off;” no one wanted to even hear what he had to say.
As a result, Montgomery went to attorney and FreedomWatch founder Larry Klayman - who then approached the FBI:

Under grants of immunity, which I obtained through Assistant U.S. Attorney Deborah Curtis, Montgomery produced the hard drives and later was interviewed under oath in a secure room at the FBI Field Office in the District of Columbia. There he laid out how persons like then-businessman Donald Trump were illegally spied upon by Clapper, Brennan, and the spy agencies of the Obama administration.
Montgomery left the NSA and CIA with 47 hard drives and over 600 million pages of information, much of which is classified, and sought to come forward legally as a whistleblower to appropriate government entities, including congressional intelligence committees, to expose that the spy agencies were engaged for years in systematic illegal surveillance on prominent Americans, including the chief justice of the Supreme Court, other justices, 156 judges, prominent businessmen such as Donald Trump, and even yours truly. Working side by side with Obama's former Director of National Intelligence (DIA), James Clapper, and Obama's former Director of the CIA, John Brennan, Montgomery witnessed “up close and personal” this “Orwellian Big Brother” intrusion on privacy, likely for potential coercion, blackmail or other nefarious purposes.

He even claimed that these spy agencies had manipulated voting in Florida during the 2008 presidential election, which illegal tampering resulted in helping Obama to win the White House.
Given the fact that the FBI had Montgomery's testimony and evidence for over two years, Klayman traveled to Washington DC last Thursday to meet with Committee Chairman Devin Nunes in the hopes that he would ask FBI Director Comey why the FBI hadn't pursued Montgomery's evidence. When Klayman arrived to speak with Nunes, he was "blown off" and instead shared his information with committee attorney Allen R. Souza - who Klayman requested in turn brief Nunes on the situation.

During my meeting with House Intelligence Committee counsel Allen R. Sousa I politely warned him that if Chairman Nunes, who himself had that same day undercut President Trump by also claiming that there is no evidence of surveillance by the Obama administration, I would go public with what would appear to be the House Intelligence Committee’s complicity in keeping the truth from the American people and allowing the FBI to continue its apparent cover-up of the Montgomery “investigation.”

And, that is where it stands today. The big question: will House Intelligence Committee Chairman Nunes do his job and hold FBI Director Comey’s feet to the fire about the Montgomery investigation?
Klayman has detailed all of this in a NewsMax article, followed up with an official letter to Chairman Nunes today, requesting that he question Comey on Montgomery's evidence. Perhaps this explains Nunes' impromptu press conference today admitting that Trump's team was under "Incidental Surveillance" before making his way to the White House to discuss with the President.

So - we know that evidence exists from a CIA / NSA contractor turned whistleblower, detailing a massive spy operation on 156 judges, the Supreme Court, and high profile Americans including Donald Trump. See the letter below:

Not illegal surveillance!! They were surveilling doubtful friends of the US......and guess who turned up. Trump's team members and perhaps himself were collateral damage. The surveillance was perfectly legal. When you make friends and allies of your country's enemies be careful of when, where and what you talk about.

As for watching the daily news, at least what you get is straight from the mouths of those involved, not 3rd hand through some nitwit columnist sucking it through his warped perception.

You know, like when the media now posts directly after DT's denial of what he said,,,,,,,the policy is now is to replay when & where he did say it.

Trump careful about what he talks about? don't think it's possible. He's certainly not done it to date.

Yup. I am becoming convinced he wants out of the Presidency. It cuts into his golfing time too much!

and it's not going the way he hoped it would. In his world, he thought he was A class. He's learning real quick that he's truly just white trash with too much money and not enough brains.
