SO in your opinion is forcing your kid to go to your church when they don't want to bullying?

As someone who WAS forced as a kid to go to church when I did not want to, yes, it is bullying. Doesn't matter that my father wanted it, I didn't. That's bullying.

Or the court forcing medication on a kid whose parents don't want it?

If it's in the best interest of the child and will save their life, yes? The whole blood transfusion BS that JW's force on their kids is wrong.

Or when one parent wants something and the other is opposed the court is obviously going to side with one or the other. Will it always be the right one?

Depends on the case and what the case involves. In this case, the kid has already tried suicide ONCE, due to the dysphoria and assholery of his father. The court ruled right that the father has no interest in the safety or mental health of the son, therefore he got penalized for it.

Are judges wrong sometimes? Sure. Happens. Do YOU think he was wrong in this case; obviously so.

I don't.

But then I'd rather see a kid who lives than one who dies.

I see implications far beyond just this one mixed up girl and her goofy mother.

Which proves to me that you're a transphobe and that the very thought of someone's genitals being changed makes you terrified more than the death of a person.

I took Biology back in the dark ages. Should I just ignore what they taught me?

Biology, like any science, evolves and changes as we learn more things.

Back in the 'dark ages', a majority didn't want to know about gay people or trans people or other genders or anything that wasn't considered 'normal'. But some people did want to know, so now we're looking into it and learning.

If you want to ignore that research, go ahead. That's on you.

But it doesn't make it less valid.

And doesn't mean we have to keep to your 'dark ages' thinking.

Kids Of Divorce And Suicide: New Study Shows Link

Children with divorced parents are at an increased risk of suicidal thoughts, with boys especially vulnerable to the effects of marital breakups.

These new findings were revealed by the recent study, "Suicidal Ideation Among Individuals Whose Parents Have Divorced," conducted by Esme Fuller-Thompson, a professor at the University of Toronto.

Using a sample of 6.647 adults, 695 of whose parents had divorced before they were 18, Fuller-Thompson found that men from divorced households were three times as likely to have seriously considered suicide, while women had an 83 percent higher chance of having done the same.

Even when Fuller-Thomson adjusted for additional factors like parental abuse and addiction, which often accompany divorce, men still had twice the likelihood of having had suicidal thoughts. These findings suggest that divorce can have seriously adverse effects on children. We asked Esme Fuller-Thompson to help illuminate her study and its implications.

Justice Francesca Marzari, a British Columbia Supreme Court Justice, ruled last week that the father of a 14-year-old transgender boy (biological female) was guilty of “family violence” for refusing to affirm his daughter’s male gender identity.

The father, who is anonymously listed as “C.D.” throughout the court document to protect the identity of “A.B.,” his daughter, is also banned from discussing the ruling publicly in order to prevent A.B. from being “exposed” to hurtful writing or commentary that does not affirm her gender identity.

The ban applies for a one year period but may be extended by the court. It prevents C.D. from “directly, or indirectly through an agent or third party, publishing or sharing information or documentation relating to A.B.’s sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, mental or physical health, medical status or therapies.”

Back in February of this year, as previously reported by The Post Millennial, another B.C. Supreme Court Judge ruled that A.B could receive hormone injections to aid her transition despite not having her father’s consent.

In point 38 of her ruling, Justice Marzari writes:

However, I am not concerned with the truth of what CD has said in those interviews, but with the words having been said at all. The videos are with CD and there is no issue as to their authenticity. . . Had CD given his own evidence that he did not make the statements quoted in the Federalist, I would have preferred his direct evidence over that of the unsworn accounts of his statements in the articles. However, CD does not disavow the statements or quotations attributed to him, and says only that he did not intend to disobey any court orders.
Justice Francesca Marzari
“In those interviews, CD refers to AB as female, and expresses both his rejection of the permanence of AB’s gender identity and his opposition to AB’s chosen course of treatment,” wrote Justice Marzari.

On the issue of the father’s parental rights, Justice Mazrari ruled that “CD’s rights as a parent are necessarily guided and constrained by the FLA and orders of this Court. His rights do not include harming his child.”

Concerning C.D.’s Charter right to freedom of expression and belief, Justice Marzari wrote “There is no requirement that CD change his views about what is best for AB. It is only how he expresses those views privately to AB and publicly to third parties that is affected.”

I find that the balance of the values at issues in this case favours the protection of the safety and security of AB. The best interests of the child and the child’s protection from family violence is a paramount consideration in family law matters.
Justice Francesca Marzari
For her part, A.B. testified saying “I love my father. I want to have his name as my middle name. When I was born, I was given the middle name “[REDACTED]” as the female version of my dad’s name. But I cannot be around him unless he respects who I am and my gender identity. It messes with my head and I cannot stand his berating me all the time.”

“I am concerned for my physical and emotional safety around my dad, and very worried what he will do.”

Are we all taking crazy pills?

This judge should be thrown off the bench.

Beyond belief.
Obviously Justice Marzipan is certifiably insane and should be removed from the bench.

She might qualify as a dishwasher or a washroom attendant, but nothing more challenging for sure.
