Hidden in myth, whether it be Christian, pagan, Islamic, Hindu and so on, are truths about the human condition. But, for goodness sakes, they are myths! They must not drive national policy! For instance, Harper's sending missions to the River Styx should sound no more preposterous as hastening the Apocalypse for the reward of 72 virgins or the Christian equivalent.

He has very pretty eyes. I like dragons. I believe they once existed when people believed in them - just like the devil who lives in Christianity because they believe in him. Sad really. Why not? What relevance has a grain of sand or a tree in Oz to your life? What relevance does a sun on the other end of the galaxy have to your life? If gods don't give a hoot about what goes on here or forgot about this universe, what relevance do they have on what goes on here?
