Tax rates, pensions, infrastructure, unemployment benefits, etc. are internal affairs. War, the intentional mass murder of innocents, refugees are international and humanitarian affairs.

Between NATO, the U.N. and the rest of the western nations, it always seems someone is hollering for the U.S. to "fix it".

We are broke folks - try and handle these messes on your own and see how expensive it is in both lives and economic issues.

Besides the U.S. should become self-reliant on its own oil mining resources and stop using oil as an excuse to avoid drilling what is plentiful and available.

BADABING.

Dito.

Dirka Dirka savages beating their chests over 'Tin Pot' Dictators like DonaldGaddafi Duck and they'll probably replace him with Mohammed Mickey Mouse. What changes? Nothing. These people need a velvet revolution not a violent revolution.

Perhaps letting themselves bleed white will be good for the long run; it'll teach the Libyans to not throw a rabble every other decade and Social Darwinism will weed out the dumb Libyans; who are we speak, are probably going "yeahhhh!!!1!!" and charging into tanks armed with 100m cannons and machine guns....

It's a complete rabble as not a single person here can even identify the "leader" of the Libyan Revolt...

''who will be whining when Daffy uses air and armor to re-take rebel held cities, and then unleashes an orgy of blood-letting.....and we wind up with 500,000 dead.....''

Well, Colpy - if you feel that way, go ahead, march off into Libya and show them what you got.

[chuckle] Yes, Colpy wants still another war but still doesn't offer to enlist in order to fight it.

Who is asking that?

Other Americans, that's who.

The only ones pushing for intervention on this thread are American cons and a few of their Canadian con lap dogs.

Keep out of it, get your fiscal house in order and stop pretending you know how to fix things.

Invest in alternative energy, you will no longer rely on dirty unethical energy and tin pot dictators depending on US support will die along with their ideologies.

Well I'm hoping the price of oil keeps going up a bit more. We all benifit when the price goes up, make sure you fill your bank account while it's up.
Hmmmm, there is no direct substitute for oil. It will always be needed.

That is correct on a long term basis. But the American left doesn't have a long term before the next election. You have to understand that the increase in the price of gasoline and home heating fuel is the fault of Barack Obama. Don't debate on this because that's what most Americans believe. So it must be true. This is the power of arithmetic in the American mind.:)

Don't worry, the price will go up and so will the cost of living.

There will be dips here and there but the trend is upward and increasing rapidly.

That trend will force change, it already has.

That's absolutely true. However, the change may not be what you would like to see. The only certainty is uncertainty.
