What are Americas vital interests? Is it not staying on top same as it has been for most of the last century? And have Americans really been on top for all that time? If so then where has all the loot gone? Why are times depressing again? Do Americans know top from bottom anymore?

I agree completely, and it boggles my mind to hear people such as Bob Rae saying that Canada needs to be involved. No, we don't. We need to let the people of Libya forge their own destiny.

It boggles my mind as well. How many times do we have to go over this and butting into people's business.

If Europe wants a No Fly Zone than they should gas up their Euro-Fighters and start.

What are Americas vital interests? Is it not staying on top same as it has been for most of the last century? And have Americans really been on top for all that time? If so then where has all the loot gone? Why are times depressing again? Do Americans know top from bottom anymore?

Are you more upset that we might not be getting involved?

Look at all the material you'd have if we did... which is exactly why you want the US to do something.

As I said... you are aching for the US to drop a couple bombs just so you can come here and say...

"LOOK! LOOK WHAT THEY DID!"

America's national interests are quite clear. That is to completely discredit American leftism and to begin the process of rebuilding the country. Rebuilding the country starts with a complete reformation of the public school systems in the US. We must refill the reservoir of human capital. Educational excellence is the goal.

We must rebuild the national infrastructure on a full spectrum basis. We must change the nature of social organization to eliminate the incentives that keep people indolent. We must change the culture of America so that people perceive family cohesion as the most important thing in their lives.

We must seal the southern border with Mexico in order to stop the transfer of poverty and ignorance from Latin America to the US. We don't need any more gangsters.

We must pay down the national debt so that our children and their children are not condemned to poorer and meaner lives. We must reduce the size and power of the federal govt. The federal govt. might have had a role in rebuilding the country, but it is all too clear that the federal govt. simply cannot be trusted. It must be disarmed literally and figuratively. It is now a threat.

We must develop a much closer relationship with Canada. This will happen. No question about it.

This is off the top of my head in stream of consciousness form.

EagleSmack, it seems my past harsh criticisms in conjunction with popular revelatory news material has already destroyed America, I.m having second thoughts, maybe I was too impatient. Washington has been replaced by Tel Aviv, they told me to be careful what I wished for.

Certainly those would be in Americas interest, however you eventually define it(America).

Of course, nothing new or startling in any of that.

We must seal the southern border with Mexico in order to stop the transfer of poverty and ignorance from Latin America to the US. We don't need any more gangsters.
Quite right, you have a domestic crime problem that will entail real serious social change that revolves around new definitions of wealth for the common American.

Whoa, hit the brakes, you must be insane, this pay down of debt that ain't even yours is a game breaker, nobody does it, for America it is impossible, four thousand years at reasonable rates if your creditors agree, not bloody likely. Will you be making those infrastructure improvements before or after you sign the roads and parks over to the private bankers? JUST SAY NO! Read up, there's no other way. The kids need the money the bankers can get stuffed.

We must develop a much closer relationship with Canada. This will happen. No question about it.
Yes but will you respect us in the morning? Will you tell us you love us just to get the oil water and potatoes?

This is off the top of my head in stream of consciousness form.
By and large I like your ideas. We could do a deal. I'm sure. The debt thing's got to be forgotten though. You didn't borrow the money , your wealthy elite did. Shake them down like they showed you.

Will we still respect you in the morning? Yes, the check's in the mail.:)

The national debt gets paid down. That's part of restoring the value of the currency. We need to pay off the Chinese and get them out of our decision making process.

Ok I can see that you're from the old school and want to clean the slate. Laudable for sure but very impossible from what I can gather. There are other serious considerations as well with trying to hang on to dollars, this was realized a while ago, isn't it why we signed the SSP stuff isn't it why the proposal for the Amero was made. There are also problems with the national flag and the associated bloodshed which hasn't been fully exposed as of yet. A bit of a poison brand these days if you get what I mean. There is the very real danger that you will be compelled to kneel before the victors like twenty first century Germans and pay war reparations for ever. So I think all you want to accomplish seems to be a salvage job rather than building some new
deal with the people. You've got to cough up your rich and squeeze the debt payments out of them in one wringing motion, while you can, if you can reach them.

No salvage job is possible. History teaches us that the past cannot be reproduced. I'm looking for the ****ing Phoenix to rise from the flames.

After the extirpation of leftist dogma in America anything is possible. I have no problem coughing up the rich. But first leftism gets the same brand as slavery. Public sector unions go down. La Raza and multiculturalism go down. Private sector unions are ok.

If leftists want their ideology to continue they will first have to kill me. Crazy Horse and Tecumseh are my role models. Don't ****ing tread on me.:)

Forget the Amero. I'm happy to adopt the Canadian Dollar. Tell the women of Canada that if they got the money Baals has the time. Tell them that Baals has Tiger Blood. Haha. :)

Even if what you say is true, it takes NATO action to lead. Obama cannot take that initiative without its sanction. Besides, we have no business intervening. We have far more business intervening in Turkey to stop its repression of Kurds. So far, none of the forum's gung ho right wingers have called for that.

They are finally getting it.

Let them manifest their own destiny.

The West has a poor track record of nation building and we have far better things to spend our money on....like reducing our deficit.

I wish them (protesters) luck in Lybia.....but beyond that it's none of my business.

I'm a right winger and I believe Turkey must stop and Obama should be using all tool at his disposal to make that more than clear, maybe he is behind closed doors..

Well we had our chance to go in there before it escalated, essentially it is our business for many reasons but now things are different so the only way to support the rebellion is behind the scenes..

I'm not surprised you feel that way.

It is afterall a liberal attitude, therefore a neo-con ideal.

I agree, let the other muslim countries get involved if they care about their fellow man.
Lybia is not our problem, let's stay out of it.

Thirded.

NATO has enough blunders on its hands to deal with.
