I do like Coulter, but she plays on shock value.........and " 'Tard" has become a rather popular piece of the lexicon, if one that is somewhat in poor taste.

Personally, I do think calling Obama a retard is an insult to the intellectually handicapped everywhere.

Of course words do have context. Any human entity can learn to retard the timing of an engine but a mentally developmentally handicapped human entity may find it too challenging to accomplish.

Imagine if that had a been a Democrat who said that about a vet - the right wingers would all be talking sh!t from here to Kingdom come.
