Polls have been wrong (ie 100%) in the last 2 AB prov elections.

These latest poll results are the kiss of death for the Dippers

You wish. Cons are briging all their big scary guns saying NDP will be disastrous for Alberia (obviously an act of desperation), but I think people are just fed up enough for a radical change. From what I've seen, the Wild Rose is Aberia's version of the Tea Party.

That would be devastating to the economy. Alberta's problems stem largely from growing too fast and now all the imports think they require all the freebees they were entitled to in Ontario and the maritimes but without having to actually pay for it. The NDP will make them pay but won't be able to deliver the goods.

I wonder in a province already hurt by low oil prices, and stagnant investment.. I wonder if this will send big Corporations running scared.. basically tanking the Alberta economy.

It would do more damage than just tank Alberta.The dippers in BC are against any oil pipelines. Since they tend towards groupthink would Alberta NDP scuttle NG? Or would there be friction in the ranks especially since the NDP does not represent unionized construction workers interests.

I dunno, Obama's delay in approving the XL pipeline hasn't hurt his support from unions even though they want the pipeline 'cuz it means good "union" jobs. Unions tend to be hypocritical in that way yuh know...

I was just snooping around for predictions here at midnight on election eve. Many seasoned political bloggers and columnists are swaying back towards a PC majority. Regardless, I will be watching with interest. I remember the last BC election where people were predicting an NDP majority right up until the polls closed and then the red wave crashed ashore. I have to echo BOOMer and taxslave in that an NDP win will send some serious ripples through an industry already teetering on the brink, an industry that accounts for most of the eggs in Alberta's basket.

With close numbers no one knows who will win and if it will be a majority
Wildrose is actually fading in metro areas and the Tories and NDP will
close the gap on each other. Tories are coming back somewhat and the
NDP is still surging. I wouldn't count my chickens if I were any of them.

When the real poll is tallied I doubt if much will change..................BUT stranger things have happened!
