Funny how when you have been ousted from power the policies you pursued are all of a sudden bad when the new guy keeps them going.

Obama inherited the Bush quagmires, now they're his fault.

What is going on is they aren't really wars, they're quagmires. Change is described as not starting new wars for no reason.

It actually makes a reference to a Ron Paul video I'd posted before:

YouTube - Ron Paul Courageously Speaks the Truth

Though this is an interesting one too:
YouTube - This War Is Illegal! Ron Paul Afghanistan War Debate

As I'd mentioned even before Obama came to power, he'd just be a mini-Bush. Turns out I was wrong. Bush is coming out to be a mini-Obama in some respects. Bush's reputation might yet be saved by default just because Obama was worst. Again, this is where I was wrong. I was critical of Obama from the beginning, believing he'd be only slightly better than Bush. I never expected he'd be worse that Bush!

I didn't think it was possible. Bush was bad enough.

Ya, but if Ron Paul inherited this mess we'd be saying the same thing about him right now.

But expanding US imperialism into Pakistan and increased Sabre rattling towards Iran. Come on. Other than the fact that Obama actually knows English (unlike his predecessor), he's not much better on many fronts, and on the War front he seems to be proving himself even more aggressive than bush, albeit with a softer tone of voice.

In some ways, this shows Obama's intelligence. By speaking softly, he can get away with more militarism while still coming across as a friendly guy on the world stage, and many have been taken in by it.

I do like his softer tone in his speeches and I think that is certainly good in international politics. But it should also be reflected in Action. That's not the case with Obama. He speaks softly but swings a big stick at every opportunity.

Ya, but if Ron Paul inherited this mess we'd be saying the same thing about him right now.

Hard to say. Obama never promised to try to pull the troops out pronto. Pal had. So it's reasonable that at least Paul would have given it a try. Obama hasn't even done that. He's busy flushing America's healthcare dollars down an illegal war abroad.

Or vica versa...

The policies that were once bad are now followed.

Sure he did but he flip flopped once he beat Hillary. What was it, 1 brigade a month from the start of his Presidency?

Usual right wing crap. Bush set up and initiated every program that is being critiqued. Obama is trying to get the US it of it, hence the two deadlines he has issued for getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

I get a laugh out of the name of the program "Freedom Watch." It reminds me of some of the euphemisms used in Orwell's 1984..

Personally, I think a couple of things about Obama become increasingly clear:

1. The Nobel Peace Prize was a bad joke.

2. The Americans elected the wrong man for the job.

1. The Nobel Peace Prize was a bad joke.

2. The Americans elected the wrong man for the job.

The other option was McCain.... someone who openly backed keeping the status quo Bush laid out for the last 8 years before Obama..... logically if Obama promised to change the Bush era style of things but ended up being just a mini-Bush, then one could assume McCain who promised to keep the Bush era style of things would have been a much bigger, much worse Bush.

Personally speaking, while I won't claim Obama has been stellar and perfect so far as president, he hasn't started any new wars and as far as I can see, the US has stopped or at least slowed down going down the spiraling hole Bush pushed everybody into..... and while I'm sure many would complain and finger point at Obama for the BP oil spill and the government's response time and results..... his response time and results are still a hell of a lot better then Bush with Katrina...... whom kinda was in a dazed and never clued in on the seriousness of Katrina for days..... and even today there's still reconstruction of New Orleans that needs to be started.

I see it as similar to how many are shatting all over the NDP government here in Nova Scotia. They came into power promising to fix the crap the Conservatives left us in, a situation the Conservatives kept under wraps from everybody including the other parties which the NDP didn't know the full extent of dept and corruption the Conservatives created..... so rather then cutting funding, programs and jobs that were already needed like what the Conservative have been doing and continued planning to do until they lost the election, the NDP raised the HST at the same time exempting certain products from the tax altogether...... but because of the debt and because of the NDP raising the tax in order to clear out the debt faster without cutting thousands of jobs..... suddenly everybody is blaming the NDP for their solutions to what the Conservatives created in the first place.

In other words, everybody wants miracles from those they elect and they want golden rabbits pull out of their arses..... and when they don't get what they expect and have to face decisions they don't like...... suddenly the person they elected is worse then the person they replaced who created the mess in the first place...... then they vote the same clowns in as before, completely forgetting they were the original ones who screwed everything up...... they then screw up more, and then the voter elects the same people in as before, don't like how they try to fix the problem, vote the other idiots back in, things screw up even more...... and so on.

Obama being worse then Bush?

I don't see valid evidence to claim that yet...... but I do agree that the nobel prize was way premature and unjustified.

I hope that you are not referring to John McCain. Since the election he has become a pathetic figure, reversing his position on almost every major issue he once supported, from gays in the military to getting out of the wars Bush started. He has fallen so far that he now has to be propped up by the Paris-Hiltonesque Sarah Palin.

:blob: A good program from Fox News!!!!!

I can't afford to buy the MLB channels, BUT; every Sat at 4:00, Foxy puts on a baseball game on Foxy E and Foxy W. Sometimes they're the same teams, sometimes not. Anyhow, makes for an interesting 3 hours.

Aside from that Fox is basist, racist, dumbed down, horshyte, and Glenn Beck sucks!! He's worse than Jack Layton.

Yah, I know; I should get a part time job to make money to spend on TV..........right!!!
