I hear you, & we have to keep in mind that in grade seven...makes this kid a
twelve year old boy? Thirteen, I guess, from the O.P.

At least he might/should avoid an adult record & stay off the no-fly lists, etc....

I had to read the report a second time to make sure I wasn't missing something! I guess it's what can happen when stupid people become paranoid!

If pointing your finger as if it was a gun is a crime then there are millions of young criminals out there right now. That is horrifying.

I must say im not surprised though. I remember the elementary school I went to threatened to suspend kids for doing similar things. I dont think they ever carried through though. Charging the kid is over the top. Hell, even a suspension is.

Mentioning fingers and toes as potential weapons remember when kids used to roll down
the car window and moon people, I wonder what would happen if they saw that as a weapon
My question is, "is there any hope for the future generation when this generation behaves
the way it does"
The adults in this case should be the ones getting a time out without pay

So now what are they going to do? Ban fingers???

Honestly sometimes I don't know who does more damage, the sob's that commit actual crimes or the idiots that freak out over everything. I almost think I'd rather take my chances with a criminal, better odds that he can be reasoned with.

Six schools got "locked down" in Alta. today. Little buggers are acting up and everyone else is flipping out!

That's nothng. Over here Dalton wants to spend $40 million to lock down the public schools.

I'm pretty sure they already have locks, so the $40 mil must be "admin fees".

In the 60s during the FLQ crisis, most Quebec schools were locked and had armed guards.

Funny thing was that most bomb threats were phoned in by students who didn't feel like going to school that day.
