So, there's people who throw out the whole "Oh but what about the de-transitioners"...

Okay, What about them?

So I wonder... all this misinformation from the person in the tiktok; apparently they are a true de-transitioner but they have lots of personal issues going on, so... because their life wasn't immediately "happy", they now want to blame their transitioning, and lie about things?

Or is the state of transitioning in the US THAT BAD compared to other countries that patients aren't being told the things they should (which isn't a thing all across the US since there are families/kids who get gender affirming care and are getting GOOD GAC...).

In any case, I feel sorry for this person for having such a horrible experience, but just because they had a horrible one, does NOT mean that all trans people will have horrible transitions. And some trans people may not transition at all (full transition anyway).

Sadly the transphobes hook onto people like them and use them to prove their points, only it doesn't.
Keep the pipeline going . Get them young .

My daughter works at Starbucks. It really is a melting pot of inclusiveness.

My little gal is very popular at her work with the he/ she/ thems...etc. She showed me a text from a co-worker last night. It read...

"All da Queens and Ho's at Starbucks love Penny, but she don't go dat way!" lol!

I wonder. Did ANY of them get any sort of psych assessment first? Or is that "transphobic"?

And sadly the pro-trans people hook onto videos like this and act like that person speaks for all those who regretted making the transition. In other words, because this person doesn't have a "valid" reason for regretting it, none of those who regret it have a valid reason for regretting it. So we can just ignore their experiences because they don't fit the narrative.

Back when I took my friend's brother for his/her FULL reassignment surgery, you needed to have a psych evaluation to make sure this is something you wanted to do. Now apparently it's some kind of crime for a doctor to even suggest it to a patient.

I'm sure you've whined about US states that won't even allow abortions for genuine medical necessity, thus interfering in a doctor's Hippocratic oath. Yet you don't seem to bat an eye when doctors are prevented from doing their job when it comes to "gender confusion".

If I go to a doctor and tell him I have cancer, what do you think he will do? Take my word for it and start treatments or do some tests to confirm I do?
But, if I go to the doctor and tell them I'm trans, that's it. They can't even fucking question it without risking a goddam shit storm.

Actually, psych is part of the process, but if you'd bothered to watch the video or read up on transitioning, you'd know that.

And sadly the pro-trans people hook onto videos like this and act like that person speaks for all those who regretted making the transition.

Again, if you'd watch the video, you'd know that isn't true.

In other words, because this person doesn't have a "valid" reason for regretting it, none of those who regret it have a valid reason for regretting it.

Not true.

Damn Jin, you're on a hot streak tonight!

No, it's not and lying like that does NOT help the situation for anyone.

I'm sure you've whined about US states that won't even allow abortions for genuine medical necessity,

Whined? Stood up for a woman's right to choose regardless of reason, yes. Stand up firmly for an abortion that's medically necessary, absolutely. Never whined about it though.

thus interfering in a doctor's Hippocratic oath. Yet you don't seem to bat an eye when doctors are prevented from doing their job when it comes to "gender confusion".

Well if it was happening, I would say something. But it's not, so...

If I go to a doctor and tell him I have cancer, what do you think he will do? Take my word for it and start treatments or do some tests to confirm I do?

Considering I KNOW the procedures for suspected cancer diagnosis; Biopsy and blood test for suspected growths and to see if they have cancer cells or markers.

But, if I go to the doctor and tell them I'm trans, that's it. They can't even fucking question it without risking a goddam shit storm.

That's an absolute lie that you've bought into by transphobes and anti-trans crowds. But hey, that's you, you like to believe the lies because it makes you feel justified in your ignorance. By now, it's not even a shock, or worth getting upset over.

Lookit, Jin, an absolute goose egg of a post for any sort of reality or facts.

Here.

Probably the best explanation of what trans, sex and gender identity are. Part of a larger video, but the first 10 minutes or so are worth watching, and learning from.

To me it's all about age appropriateness.

In Ontario you have to be 16 years old to drive a car...18 to vote...19 to legally drink...etc. The system needs to set an age threshold where you start engaging children in schools about LGBTQ. What age that would be...I'm not too sure. Perhaps 14 years of age?
That would be more appropriate than what is happening now. At least they're old enough to (maybe) ask questions & possibly understand that there are consequences to transitioning that they might regret without further investigation. They need to be FULLY informed which is why I personally think that they need to be at least 18 if not 20 before deciding what's best for them & not someone else telling them what's best for them.

So this accounts for what? Probably less than 0.1% of the population. `Kids just don't need to know some things until they are older.
Yes so they can at least understand what the issue is all about. Why would anyone want a 3 or 4 yo to transition when they don't have a clue who they are at that age or even 7 & 8 or older. It's incredible that they're allowed to make that choice without completely understanding what is going to happen to them if they go with what adults (vile adults) want to impose on them. It's stupefying!!

Well...

No, no this grandfather did NOT have a right to ask about the event being co-ed based on a fucking hair cut. Because he's there to WATCH, not participate. So it doesn't matter.

That said, if the mom's went overboard defending their kid, that doesn't help the situation either. Though I'm sure they'll get a pass; they were defending their daughter, right? Their *straight* daughter?
