I'll have one more go at explaining this, Hoof.

Let's forget about "wokeness" and think for a second. Non-whites, LGBTQ+ people, and women often fear right-wing social and legal actions for a reason.

Not long ago, these groups were officially, legally, mandatorily discriminated against. Gays could be imprisoned until Lawrence v. Texas (2003). And I suppose you're familiar with some of the discrimination non-Whites and women have suffered. Even assuming that's all over now (it ain't), it's recent enough to be feared, especially in places like Floriduh and Texass, where book-banning, also once thought to be a thing of the past, is making a comeback.

People who weren't "normal" were subjected to various brutal mistreatment, by law and with the full backing of the power of government.

Let me bring it home to you. Do you know how schizophrenics were treated not long ago? Involuntary commitment. And something even worse. You have daughters and obviously love them very much. Involuntary sterilization for the "not normal" was once common in the U.S., and has never been outlawed. The Supreme Court UPHELD involuntary sterilization of people who weren't "normal" mentally the one time it came to the Supreme Court, Buck v. Bell (1927).

Think about that. If the political tides continue to turn against people who are "not normal," we could get back to involuntary sterilization of the mentally disabled.
Youre another one stuck in the 60s or 70s when there were no male nurses, chefs were men and people still had children.

Why do they fear whites? Whites are easy going on the soup compared to other races, nations and cultures.

You won the fucking life lotto being born into a white Christian nation that is willing to flex and adapt to the times. Instead of wasting time on pronouns and creating genders until you find someone willing to suck your dick or lick your snatch because you an emotional mess, go to places like Iran, Brunei, Saudi Arbia and risk your life to fight for basic LGBTQ

My brother is gay as the day is long. HE was on the board of directors for Calgary Pride but walked away in disgust because of all the millennial whiners crybabies and emotional basketcases pushing shit too far and making it uncomfortable to be gay again. HIS parting shot was "I didn't get beat up and risk losing my career for my Rights for you losers to take the movement back 40 years and fuck up everything I fought for".

As for the Don't Say Gay bill, what the fuck did you think would happen? Trying to scrub identities (father, mother, he, she, Mr. Miss Mrs) without any consideration for the 90% who have zero desire to go by they, them, birth provider or cisgender. These identities are the first words grunted by humans 2.2 Million years ago.

Kids aren't gay, lesbian, cis or any of the 78+ mostly redundant labels to choose from. They haven't been slammed by hormones and have no experience in any role.

No one has a gender until they are fully equipped with with sexual parts and hormones and then act on it and experience the gender and the equipment.

If a 6 year old kid saws a 2x4 in half then nails two pieces of wood together do you label them as a red seal carpenter even if they feel they are? Fuck no. Why not? They aren't experienced and mentally, intellectually or physically capable to be a red seal carpenter.

When puberty and teenage hits, then it's fine to nudge a child who may be unaware of their outward personality be it masculine or feminine.

At 6? Fuck no.

If you aren't a parent, stay the fuck away from our children and grandchildren. If you've had a child you'd understand why. When that head pops out of a bloody oversized pussy, instinct and a dump of biochemicals changes everything you thought you knew and your emotions will never be the same. It changes you and it only takes a few seconds. If you were a peace loving, nonviolent person that cries when you accidentally kill a butterfly, kiss that good bye because you wouldn't think twice about killing someone who tries to hurt your child. That being said, stay the fuck away from our children or you will be physically harmed. Even gay or lesbian parents don't want the childless making decisions for their children. It's not your place in this world.

I'm always fond of the "other places are worse, so we must be wonderful" argument. It's a clear indication that my interlocutor is hyper-defensive and not real bright.

You know where was the very best place to be Jewish in all of Europe in the 1920s? White, Christian Germany.

I just know when I grew up, some kids were fat...others ugly...others dumb. It was just so. Life isn't fair sometimes.

We can't simply wish it all away, so we use language to smooth it over. I fully understand my schizophrenia is not normal...only one percent of the population has this affliction. All of this talk about 'wording' and the usage of words is causing anger and divisiveness.

I don't need anybody to get outraged for me. We all need to play with the hands we are dealt. People need to 'stay in their lane' more instead of running around mowing everybody else's lawns.

In France, bidets are everywhere.

I guess in case you drop your wallet in a line-up and the guy behind you takes advantage of the situation to sniff your ass while picking it up.

Too bad the Frenchmen never heard of deodorant.
My neighbour has one in his machine shop. Something about not wanting to wipe his ass with oily hands.

That would mean most politicians would be sterilized. I like it.

Language both reflects and shapes thought.

I think you still don't get the connection between "not normal" and "not deserving of treatment as human beings."

I love the "I'm stuck in 70s and haven't interacted with anyone under 30 ever since" routine.

It's not 1920 is it. Wake up its 2022.

TBH, I don't think Hoof wants to get it maybe?

Or wants to admit that not that long ago, he'd be in an institution and sterilized himself for not being 'normal'. His daughters wouldn't exist now.

And that's apparently okay, even if really it's not... :(

Okay. I'll start drinking your Kool-Aid...

People aren't fat anymore. They are 'weight challenged'. People aren't dumb anymore. They have 'learning disabilities'. People aren't ugly anymore. Their faces just 'have character'.

I am not 'not normal'. My affliction just isn't 'common' or in the 'majority'.

Congratulations. You've officially turned me into a Stepford wife.

Is there such a thing as someone being an asshole anymore?

Next time someone calls you an asshole, correct them and say, "You are wrong! I'm not an asshole! I'm a fanny middle!!

Sure, here, I'll prove it.

Go back to your institution and take your daughters with you, likely they're afflicted like you are and should not be in 'normal' society.

No, you don't, and pretending you do is just stupid.

Don't worry though, those who DID fight for people like you likely don't know you don't appreciate what they did.

Meanwhile I won't stop railing against people like you, and Boom, and others who want anyone in "the community" to just stop existing or to sit down, shut up and pretend they're 'normal' for THEIR snowflake selves.

All of those stupid terms (and many of them sound just as stupid to me as they do to you) were adopted because previously "fat" and "dumb" and "ugly" were frequently used as insults. Insults based on what people are, not what they do.

And as I said earlier, "not normal" was specifically used as the reason to deny them legal and social equality.

Why is it so damn important for you to be able to run people down? This seems to be the only language change, out of the many, many that have occurred in our lifetimes, that has you so pissed off and bellyaching.

You are the one that doesn't "get it" unfortunately.

Most people don't give a crap what others want to do - just don't expect me (or others I suppose) to be happy this shit is all in our faces!!! THAT'S THE POINT!! Don't start talking crap to our small kids - that's the parent's job and if a child has questions, then by all means the parents need to answer it and if the parents don't know the answer, the expectation is that they will either find the answer or find someone who knows. Other than that, leave our kids alone! What is so hard to comprehend? Honestly, it's about respect for others no matter what their beliefs are. Good grief!!

There are uncomfortable truths in this life.

You can sugarcoat it with language and have everyone walking on eggshells, never being themselves...always cautious...etc.

This whole thread I've done nothing but tell the truth, and I've been attacked to the point where I was accused of inferring that children shouldn't even exist.

The theme of this thread should be 'Not everything is as it seems'. Because in my neck of the woods, the children of all of those perfect politically correct parents are the ones getting wasted, stealing cars, and smoking drugs.

My daughters are Honor Students at their High School...never been in trouble with the law...both are gainfully employed...never tried drugs.

Think about that the next time you point your bony, sanctimonious finger in my direction.
