Then he should sue the Taliban. And his family. They are the ones that got him into this mess in the first place.

HUH... which Government let his refugee family into Canada.. then he was born here.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khadr_family

The Khadr family (أسرة خضر) is an Arab family living in Canada noted for their ties to Osama bin Laden and connections to al Qaeda.[1][2]

No, he wasn't.

In late October 2010, Omar Khadr pleaded guilty to charges against him in a plea agreement before a Military Commission at Guantanamo, admitting to having received "one-on-one terrorist training from an al-Qaeda operative and that he threw the grenade that killed U.S. Sergeant Christopher Speer".[23] He was sentenced to eight years imprisonment, although he had already been held for eight years. In 2012 he was repatriated to Canada to serve the remainder of his sentence.

Omar is a confessed killer and terrorist. Full Stop.

Omar has never and won't renounce his ties to al Qaeda and still maintains contract with his friends from Gitmo

Now he had money that he can share with them.

Let's see your evidence that he killed the medic. I'll tell you right now, you can't come up with any because the "eye witness" accounts contradict each other all over the place. The only reason Khadr "confessed" ( which he has recanted) was because he was told IF he was to confess they would ship him to Canada.

So, where's your evidence, evidence that no one else has.

Whether or not he committed any crime at this juncture is a moot point. There's a protocol for laying charges and proceding to trial which apparently wasn't adhered to. That's what this entire payout is all about. Nothing to do with his guilt or innocence.

No, that's not what the payout was about.

The Harper Government was introducing legislation to strip Canadians of their citizenship if they were convicted of terrorism. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau coined the phrase "A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian" and killed the legislation that would prevent future Khadr type situations.

I accept that Omar Khadr was a victim of circumstance, but I will never accept that it is Canada's responsibility to rescue or pay for the sins of families who have no loyalty to Canada. The Khadr's clearly took up arms against Canada and introduced their kids into the world of terrorism. That's not up for debate, it's a matter of record.

Justin Trudeau would have been better off to fight this lawsuit to it's end. Even if they had lost, politically it would have been better.

I certainly hope that the 71% of Canadian's who were unhappy with this secret payoff remember this come election day.

Do you think that minor children should be held responsible and made to suffer because of the sins of the parents causing the perpetuation of this behaviour for future generations?

Yup. It's why youth get bumped up to Queen's Bench and tried as an adult when the crime is heinous.
