Unfortunately, no. The tone has gone beyond simple Liberal self-righteousness, and into the realm of alternate reality, even by the standards of this chronically truth-allergic government.Did you?
Poilievre does have a secret weapon quietly tucked away. Several million shiny new immigrants that Trudeau brought in who are Pro-Life.Trudeau has given every indication that he intends to soldier on. Most importantly: Trudeau hopes to dispel this rebellion by rallying his troops behind some hare-brained wedge attacks against Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party. If he can focus his MPs on the opposition, then they might cut him some slack.
So Trudeau has gone back to the well and rediscovered some old attacks over abortion. According to Trudeau, the Conservatives continue to harbour a secret agenda to ban abortion which they’ll put into action once they are in government.
Never mind that the Conservative Party was in government from 2006 to 2015, including four years with a majority government. If they were ever going to legislate on abortion, that might have been the time. But they didn’t.

Maybe their hidden agenda is so well hidden that even the Conservatives aren’t aware of it.
Trudeau is not so easily convinced. Instead, the government has, out of thin air, announced it will crack down on charities that offer pregnancy counselling. The argument for doing is that they do not offer abortions?
It’s not an easy argument to follow.
The truth is crisis pregnancy centres are remarkable charities that provide much-needed support to low-income pregnant women, including blankets, baby formula, and other supplies. That support also often includes counselling on making healthy decisions during pregnancy and what to expect once the baby arrives.
It’s likely that either you or someone you know accessed help provided by one of these centres and the amazing volunteers that staff them.
But instead of thanking them, the Trudeau government is threatening to claw back the centres’ charitable status if they don’t disclose that they don’t provide abortion. The suggestion is these centres are staffed by sneaky volunteers intent on hood-winking pregnant women into not getting abortions.

It’s bizarre.
Well, not really. In fact, it’s calculated to stir up concern over a settled issue to distract attention from the rebellion against Trudeau. The PM is just barely clinging to power and is grasping for a wedge issue to rally his base and distract attention from his leadership. It’s cynical.

Trudeau has also attacked Poilievre for refusing to get clearance to receive confidential briefings on, among other issues, foreign interference in Canadian elections.

It’s not entirely clear why someone who is not in the government would need to receive such briefings. Poilievre’s argument is that getting clearance would obligate him to refrain from speaking on confidential topics, making it hard for him to attack and hold the government accountable.
Whether you find Poilievre’s explanation convincing, the Liberals have dredged up conspiracy theories originating online that darkly surmise that Poilievre has something scandalous to hide which might be uncovered in the review that leads to confidential briefings.
Nowadays, all public figures are subject to scrutiny from anonymous online basement warriors who are happy to stoke baseless conspiracy theories. But to have the government embrace and turn them into a major part of their communication strategy is virtually unheard of.KOOP: Trudeau sinks to new depths to short-circuit rebellion — Winnipeg Sun
The ongoing Liberal caucus rebellion against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is starting to resemble a situation in which an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object. The rebellion has, thus far, been unstoppable. Some observers have noted that it has been too slow-moving. The rebels, on this...apple.news
Will any of this rigmarole distract the Liberal rebels and refocus their attention on their opponents? I doubt it but who knows?
What I do know is it’s startling to see the depths to which Trudeau has sunk to save his own political skin. Liberals who are hoping for the party to survive past its current leader might want to take note.
Dash it all! Bit of a rum go, what?Unfortunately, no.
The Liberals had a solid majority in 2015 and May as well have one still what with NDP support . Funny how they being so pro abortion cannot codify it into law .Trudeau has given every indication that he intends to soldier on. Buy an illegal one. What reasons are there for you to be searched for having one at home? It's the same old scaremongering by Liberals and NDPers, who have nowhere to go but down in the next election.
I'd like to see the handgun ban dumped, but I'm doubtful.
I guess it's hand-to-hand combat for this old soldier.
A missing crook's body.Buy an illegal one. What reasons are there for you to be searched for having one at home?
Might as well be focused on the next election because their ability to govern during this current term has failed completely due to more overlapping Liberal scandals like “The Other Randy” & the “Green Slush Fund” which are burying their other scandals towards the back pages.
Come in through a window, leave through the basement floor drain.A missing crook's body.
Like “Other” Randy…sort of Ninja-like.Come in through a window, leave through the basement floor drain.
Interesting thought. I wonder if the liberals ever thought that importing millions of religious fruitcakes would be their undoing.Poilievre does have a secret weapon quietly tucked away. Several million shiny new immigrants that Trudeau brought in who are Pro-Life.
Can you give us a frinstance, or just support your contention by just declaring it a fact?Interesting thought. I wonder if the liberals ever thought that importing millions of religious fruitcakes would be their undoing.
It is a fact that personal freedoms have been seriously eroded in parts of Europe that have been overrun by muslims.
