A point made: there are families with two moms and two dads.

What about families that have FOUR parents - a mom and dad X2 (aka step parents, or adoptive parents, or foster parents?) - and X number of grandparents?

Are those "normal" too?

Of course they are.

But only if they're gay does it change?

THAT is the very idea of discrimination.

Well...

No, no this grandfather did NOT have a right to ask about the event being co-ed based on a fucking hair cut. Because he's there to WATCH, not participate. So it doesn't matter.

That said, if the mom's went overboard defending their kid, that doesn't help the situation either. Though I'm sure they'll get a pass; they were defending their daughter, right? Their *straight* daughter?
Feel a mite sorry for the kids, but they gotta learn sometime that stupid, terrified old people are given to losing their damn minds.

At least he didn't shoot the kid.

Well it was BC so...

If the guy was right, the mom's reacted overboard to the question about the sport being co-ed, I'll give him that.

BUT.

The guy had no right to ask the question to begin with, "polite" or not.

And then too, here's a "funny" thing:

Even if she was trans, she'd STILL be there. If there was a prohibition against trans kids being in sports of the gender they are (like NB just switched to), as a trans boy, she'd still be pushed to be on the girls shot put team. Cause she was assigned "Female" at birth. (oops...)

But this is over a freakin' hair cut, a hair cut that women and girls have had since the goddamn FIFTY's. But because she's a girl with short hair, that = boy/male?

Okay, guess my recent hair cut automatically makes me trans or some shit? (though I am gender fluid so... it's all good with me if someone mistakes me for masculine)

I'm old enough to remember when the clever Dicks would exercise the maximum extent of their wit by calling a male with long hair a "girl" in what the clueless assholes thought was a jocular way.

Wow….two very different stories with stupidity reigning to the point that we’re aware of this outside of a child’s track-meet in the Okanogan.

People (adults) become retards (I stand behind the use of the term in this instance) with children’s sporting events. This sounds like the modern version of the Hockey-parent that gets tossed out’a the small town arena. Let the kids chase the puck or the girl throw the ball or whatever. There’s lots of time for stupidity & politics in later life outside of situations like this.

I doubt, in your scenario, that these "families" suffer greatly from discrimination because you're right, crap happens in families and just about everyone has experienced said crap in some form or another. But to say they've been "discriminated against" - I would suggest that any discrimination of these families wold be an exception rather than the rule.

I know, cuz I lived it. It's my "true lived experience" so it's worth something now isn't it (over the "truth" as is now being claimed)??

But I'm sure there are those who will make it a "big deal" when in actual fact, it's not such a big deal. AFterall we're talking about families which is what the Leftists want to destroy & by usurping science by the ridiculous notion that men can be women and vice versa is absurd!

Look on the bright side. Pretty soon Justin will hand y'all over to China, and you won't have to worry about hearing people say things you disagree with!

As long as you agree with Beijing.

And now Trudeau has said that parents who believe they have the right to raise their OWN kids are "far right". Yeah sure. Trudeau is so fucking far left common sense is "far right " to him.

Which points to yet another similarity between the Trudeau regime and the Putin regime. Everyone who opposes Putin's Russia is a "nazi". Everyone who opposes Trudeau's personal vision for Canada is "far right".

Sooo according to polls, 57% of Canadian parents are "far right" based on Groper's metric. Yep, that'll win ya votes.

MPP punched in face at transgender protest? Or was cut from megaphone?

This protest and counter-protest over transgender studies drew blood.

The question is, was an Ontario MPP punched in the face or did he accidentally cut himself with a megaphone?

It seems people on all sides experienced it differently. Those in favour of trans education in schools feel this was a hateful attack that illustrates the danger LGBTQ+ people are in, while opponents ask if this was Canada’s own ‘Jussie Smollett’ moment where an actor in Chicago falsely claimed to be attacked by two men wearing MAGA hats.

Meanwhile, the NDP MPP says while he was “punched” in the face at a protest Friday over transgender ideology and acceptance in schools, he does not want to bring police into it.

“I do not want this woman charged,” Ottawa-Centre MPP Harden tweeted Sunday.

“I would rather talk to her about why she needed to be violent, and why she needed to protest outside public schools. If she is reading this statement, that offer still holds. Please get in touch with me.”

While someone on Twitter responded saying, “I am that woman,” some seemed skeptical on whether the cut was a result of a punch or from an errant megaphone Harden was yelling “protect trans kids” into.

Certainly his original tweet of the alleged assault garnered much attention.

Responding to Luke LeBrun tweeting, “This is absolute madness. The far-right mob is not even at a school anymore, they’re just standing in the middle of a residential street in Westboro chanting nonsense in the direction of random homeowners to “leave our kids alone,” Harden shot back with “and punching people in the face. But I’ll take a punch for queer and trans youth any day.”

With those words Harden posted a picture of himself with the cut on his face – something that drew many replies of concern and sympathy including from the Ontario and federal NDP leaders.

“Hope you’re ok Joel. Hateful so-called rallies outside of our schools are becoming far too common – and it’s boiling over into violence,” tweeted Ontario leader Marit Styles. “It’s well past time to take urgent action and protect 2SLGBTQ+ youth. Thank you to everyone that showed up today to #ProtectTransKids.”

Her federal counterpart Jagmeet Singh wrote: “I’m proud of you @JoelHardenONDP. Queer and Trans people — and kids — are being targeted by angry and hateful extremists. Governments must step up to protect the queer and trans community.”

Harden, who has been in controversy before over strongly denounced comments he made about Israel, has not responded to requests from the Toronto Sun for comment but he did tell The Trillium publication which covers Queen’s Park that he was struck by a “sucker-punch” from a woman connected with the protest led by Chris Elston.

The Ottawa Sun was at the protest and reported Elston, known as Billboard Chris for expressing his concerns about transgender teachings around with the world, was wearing a billboard saying “children cannot consent to puberty blockers” at the event where people were wearing rainbow colours and showing signs expressing support for trans youth.

“She punched me once in the back and I stupidly looked over my shoulder to see where she was, and she rabbit punched me,” Harden told Trillium. “It is what it is, I’m totally fine anyway.”

But some on Twitter have posted video clips that offer angles that they suggest show the cut was not the result of a punch but from some protruding metal on the megaphone.

However Ottawa city Councillor Ariel Troster tweeted it was a “smack/punch that smashed the megaphone into Joel Hardens face” and “many other instigators of violence among the anti-trans crowd.”

Lawyer Paul Champ wrote on Twitter: “Video from another angle shows a protester strike the megaphone into his face.”

But on his Billboard Chris Twitter account, Elston wrote “Jussie Harden claims a woman punched him” and “which one of these two men is the woman?”

Dr. Jordan Peterson tweeted some media are “manufacturing a hate crime incident,” while media commentator Jonathan Kay said “falling for hoaxes” is what some politicians have done before.

But Harden on Twitter insists: “I looked over my shoulder and was punched” and “holding a megaphone against my face” the blow “glanced off” it and “my face was cut.”

It’s unclear if he and the woman have set a date to sort it out. Ottawa Police have not commented on this specific incident but in a news release said they made five arrests and are still investigating.

What needs to happen to prevent further escalation is both sides in such demonstrations must stay on opposite sides of the street so no one gets seriously hurt – either by accident or on purpose. As for the debate on how the MPP got hurt, it’s now in the hands of Ottawa Police.

Transgender activist Rose Montoya celebrated Pride Month at the White House last weekend.
A transgender influencer who went topless during a Pride Month celebration hosted by U.S. President Joe Biden at the White House is being slammed on social media.

Rose Montoya shared footage to TikTok of her partying outside the White House last Saturday, which included baring her breasts alongside a transgender man showing post-surgery chest scars.

“Are we topless at the White House?” Montoya asks rhetorically.

The video was roundly criticized after being shared to Twitter.

“Absolute trash,” one person wrote about the event, while another called it “disgraceful.”

The White House condemned the behaviour in a statement to media on Tuesday.

“This behaviour is inappropriate and disrespectful for any event at the White House,” the White House said, according to Fox News. “It is not reflective of the event we hosted to celebrate LGBTQI+ families or the other hundreds of guests who were in attendance. Individuals in the video will not be invited to future events.”

In the video, Montoya is seen meeting Biden during the celebration.

“It’s an honour, Mr. President,” Montoya told him. “Trans rights are human rights.”

An attempt to take a selfie with Biden and other attendees failed as the camera was set to video mode.

The White House’s South Lawn was decorated with rainbow banners and a Progress Pride flag.

“So today, I want to send a message to the entire community — especially to transgender children: You are loved. You are heard. You’re understood. And you belong,” Biden said.

Some Twitter users were not pleased with Biden hosting the celebration.

“He will truly go down in history as the worst American POTUS of all time,” one said.

“The most disgraceful performance by a president,” shared another.

So the White House isn't having drag story time for school kid class visits with kids getting their faces twerked off?

man, they oughta get with the program!

lol

ok, apart from that I was going through ages-old e-mails and found some attached files I had sent myself from work, after transferring them from a 3.5 floppy that I'd saved them on, and the company still had 3.5 floppy drives.... so the following was a response I'd posted to an old forum going back to the late 90s. Back when weed was still illegal, and I suggested gays were more of a man than pot smoking professionals...

(I didn't want to begin a whole nuther thread for something no one is likely to respond to, so I'm shoving it here because I can. So there!)

Now if we could only find a leader that will admit they've inhaled.

:?)

No kidding, I know, or know of, so many doctors, lawyers, shrinks, crown attorneys, cops even, that smoke the shit, and yet, not manage to let it run their lives, thereby ruining their lives, but are also able to do their jobs responsibly and effectively - and straight! - it's unreal.

If only we could get all these dope-smoking professionals, along with all the others, to come out of the closet en masse (if the Americans could do it on the same day, so much the better), on a pre-determined date, then maybe Stockwell Day could muster the political resolve to propose the issue be placed on a priority public plebiscite agenda, right up there with reproductive rights and the death penalty.

Does it strike anyone else as odd that gays can be "more of a man" than marijuana smokers, in that they're not afraid to reveal themselves publicly? Perhaps if dope smoking professionals realized they could be viewed in this light, i.e., "less of a man", they might try to set the record straight. What is it, anyway? Does pot smoking carry more of a social stigma than being gay? I think the numbers would bear out that pot smokers outnumber gays at least threefold. Now if we could only use that base to have laws changed just about everywhere, as gays have done, then others would accept that pot users are not criminals, but form a substantial element that, like homosexuality, spans the complete spectrum, in every class of our demography.

Will it actually take a dope smoking gay professional to 'be a man' and (pardon the pun) 'spearhead the movement'?

Stick that in your local rag!

;?D

haha

what fun!

Though I agree that showing off bewbs is NOT okay at the White House... in DC, going topless for women is lawful.

At 27, she should fucking know better how to behave in a place like that.

But had it only been the trans guys showing off, would it be an issue?

Had it been straight men?

*shrug* Honestly, I don't know, but IMO in NO way is it respectable.

I get their *point* of it, but definitely wrong place, wrong time.

But they got their punishments; they won't ever be invited to future events.

There's nothing else that CAN be said/done about it.
