Remove all that and look directly at the 5 Corona viruses on the loose.Alberta has one of, if not the Province that has the youngest population, so ya, likely close contact is the reason why it's spreading. But having said that, we'll be better placed to open eventually as most of the population will eventually have immunity to the virus - the "herd" affect will have been reached.

Kenney announces tighter COVID restrictions in Alberta hot spots, will consider curfews if needed
The restrictions will apply to areas with more than 350 cases per 100,000 population and will be in place for a minimum of two weeks.
Those areas include the cities of Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Airdrie and the county of Strathcona.
