Okay just how are you meaning 'desire' both before and here? Because to me desire is not just strongly wanting something, it's also an emotion that can be ignored/turned off, as it were. A person who is Trans can't "turn off" or "ignore" that need - not 'desire' - to be the opposite gender.

It's part of the gender dysphoria - can you, yourself, imagine having a vagina?
If I was a woman, yes.

If I was a woman, yes.

And yet you're not a woman, so the idea is foreign to you.

Same thing with Trans Men even if they're born with it. Having a vagina does not line up.

So if you can't imagine having a vagina, why would you force someone to have something that they don't want either?

Yep some have a strong desire to have a vagina, doesn't change their physical gender though

How can something you've never had be missed and yearned for?

That's impossible.

Do people born without sight miss watching sunsets and rainbows?

Again, it's part of the gender dysphoria. It's not just a 'part' but the rest of it that goes with it. Interesting that you say 'physical gender' though since as I posted in the links, gender is mental.

And not all Trans people DO go through with GRS; some are okay with having the 'parts they were born with', but for some, the dysphoria is so bad, GRS is an option for them to try and stabilize themselves.

I agree with you their strong desires and yearnings help get past their physical gender short comings

Then you are also good with the fact that Trans people should be able to rectify what nature has screwed up and if that choice is GRS then that's fine?

But the problem is still mental or psychological or whatever term is currently being used for head problems. Changing the body because science can doesn't seem like the right way to treat the problem since a lifetime of drugs is required.

I don't care what one does with their own body don't use taxpayer money to change your gender and no blockers or cosmetic surgery until they are over 18 when it is truly their own decision.

But you should agree that there is only 2 biological genders

A lifetime of drugs would be required regardless.

If someone wants to change their body to actually help their mental state, then so be it, why do you care?
