Social Distancing isn't PC anymore..

It's Physical Distancing..

The other one is depressing and making people suicidal..

People are weak..
I used it deliberately in that reply......;-)

HEALTHUBC researcher Josef Penninger heads team that develops trial drug to possibly interrupt early-stage COVID-19

It certainly is not lost on me how many dedicated men and women are working around the clock the world over to find a drug/vaccine that will be effective against the coronavirus. And we look up to celebrities and athletes, pfft. These are the people that should have awards shows in prime time and have their faces on trading cards.

excellent point. Society has a seriously misplaced sense of hero worship. It is the scientists, the mathematicians, the research teams in all categories that deserve much more recognition than the narcissistic actors and sports people. They have their place..no doubt .......but they are there to ENTERTAIN us........while these other groups make society move forward in so many ways. that are critical to humanity.

Interesting that this collective experience can give one pause and time for reflection on where priorities can be re evaluated ...

Did Georgw bush realy predict this Pandemic in '95?

George W Bush warned that the US needed to start preparing for a pandemic, while he was still in office.
In 2005, Mr Bush gave a speech at the National Institutes of Health, where he outlined the need to prepare for a global outbreak.

“A pandemic is a lot like a forest fire,” the former US president said in the video resurfaced by ABC.
“If caught early it might be extinguished with limited damage. If allowed to smoulder, undetected, it can grow to an inferno that can spread quickly beyond our ability to control it.”

Mr Bush predicted the situation the US currently finds itself in, with a lack of medical supplies, including masks and ventilators, that are needed to tackle Covid-19.

It is part of the dumbing down of America. Don't let people think for themselves or they might have a regime change. The same is true to a lesser extent in Canada. There is a political class that really runs things and the party you vote for will not make that much difference. Unfortunately this political class only has its own best interests at heart and not those of taxpayers.
