Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Come on T bones. Chill.
Try a little Tai Chi.....;-)
He's sufficiently amusing that I occasionally like to answer him, and it is abundantly clear that in issues large and small, his overarching and probably sole motivation is the iron-clad conviction that "they" done him and his sort wrong.

It's like our Trumplickers. After three years of up-close and personal with them in the driver's seat, it's abundantly clear that their primary, and perhaps only, motivation is self-pity.

I'm not about to agree with a simpleton, so I give him the next-best thing, validation of his butthurt.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

If things went "back to normal," 50 million people would die of COVID-19.
The health care system would also collapse.

50 million will die from this disease, the Boomer Remover.

It's just going to be prolonged over a few years vs a few months.

Everyone will get this virus, because the government and economy can't weather this to much longer, nobody working, everyone hiding inside.

Well, well, well....

"We have coordinated with U.S. organizations to transport more humanitarian relief to people in Wuhan. Personal protective equipment and other medical supplies donated by these organizations can help save lives in #China and help protect people from the Corona virus."

That sounds significant, but I still wonder at the scope of the problem. The only figure you quoted was 1%, well within tolerances, and for that matter a model of efficiency. Even the report quickly jumped to a non-representative anecdote after stating a reassuringly low number, usually a sure sign of scaremongering.
If it was my place to recommend, I think probably the best answer is an income-scaled payment, what we call a "co-pay" down hereabouts in the Republic of Insurance Companies.
Worth a try anyhow.
We had co-pay or perhaps a better term would be deductible at one time in BC. I think it was $25. But the socialist government of the 1990s decided the cost might make low income think twice about seeking medical attention when they really needed it. Conveniently forgetting that the fee was waived or paid for welfare recipients.

You can be low income and not on welfare.

The sun never stops rising or setting. If you go West fast enough you can circle the globe in one day.

I wish I could go and see my mother. Unfortunately I can't because scaremongering idiots like you are preventing me from doing so. I couldn't even visit her on Mother's Day.

One thing about T-bones, his level of compassion is just beyond comprehension! :)
