Personally, I hope Trump wins mainly because the alternative is rather scary and will affect Canada directly because Trudeau is so in love with the Democrats - who aren't really democrats but socialists. At least, Bernie makes no qualms about being a Marxist - he's honest anyway. But what is really scary is that when you ask people what "socialism" is, they can't actually answer; just that it would be "good" for our country. Ignorance will result in the demise of our countries if this nonsense continues.

His right. The problem is that so many Americans are brainwashed to the point that not sure they can be objective jurors. Their partisan group tink.....is the basis of their bias. Look at their history: They kill Lincoln ...... The assassinate Kennedy, They vote Bush Jr. in TWICE!! and then vote in a lunatic like Trump. One might say that he collective judgement is highly questionable. And they just can't get past the pigmentation issue as if anyone can control the color of their skin or eyes. let alone gender orientation. They are swayed by fake messaging on social media........ accepting that info as fct......while denouncing scientific evidence. Mayor Pete might be misjudging the capabilities of the population.

Hopefully the impeachment will motivate some more voters to get out and vote.

Like I said, it's a democratic republic, or was. There are differences in republics. I tried to explain that a little, too bad you missed it.

It WAS. Now it is morphing into something with strong authoritarian features while behaving like an empire.Trump is being treated like an Emperor............ with the impeachment "trial" by the Republican senate being a prime example of things gone awry. The EMPEROR is in CONTROL now... Just because they are planning an election......... does not a democracy make. Tyrannical leaders "allow" elections too.

The fact that so many voters are apathetic about the election shows that the Republic is deteriorating at the core. If they don't consider it important enough to vote and KEEP their Republic.............. they are laying the foundation for a more tyrannical governing system. They will have only themselves to blame.........
