Yes, a democratic republic as opposed to an autocratic republic, banana republic, Islamic republic, etc. and even democratic republics are different (such as the difference between the American republic and the Swiss republic).
But, I know that is deeper than you are used to thinking, so I won't press it further.
Do you like America better when they have a different leader ? Or do you just generally feel that Canadians are superior?

As it was designed to do, to prevent mob rule as happened in the French Revolution.
Wow, I knew the Framers were good, but I never thought they could write a document in 1787 that relied on the experience of 1789.

Musta used the same time machine Obama used to travel back to 1961 and insert his birth announcement in the Honolulu newspaper.

The United States is not and never has been a democracy .
Like I said, it's a democratic republic, or was. There are differences in republics. I tried to explain that a little, too bad you missed it.

Yet it was the immoral and unethical means of Shiff and friends that passed that dogs breakfast onto the Senate .
That wasn't immoral and unethical, it was incompetent. The immorality and unethical activity is done by the Trumplicans.

I liked a few leaders more, yes. Canada is sometimes better, yes. What I like is irrelevant, though. What matters is merit. Trump has nearly none. Neither does Turdoh.

They couldn’t even get 100% support from their own party in Congress .

Yet both are duly elected to their positions . We obviously didn’t learn sending Trudeau a second term , I imagine America will do the same with Trump .

Like I said, incompetent, not immoral and unethical.
On the other hand, the Republicans couldn't get 100% support either.

Yet Obama deep state operatives ( democrats ) perpetrated the whole Russian collusion narrative .
It was the Democrat Congress that wouldn’t name nor allow Republicans to cross examine .
It was the Democrat Congress that wouldn’t call witnesses due to lack of time and promptly withheld the articles for three weeks .

Pretty well played out 2016 when Hillary took the majority of the votes, thanks to N.Y. and California where a lot of the idiots reside!

Trump's impeachment is a sham, a reverse kangaroo court. Guilty man acts guilty and is excused by guilty men. Like Mulvaney said, we are supposed to "get over it".
Trumplicans just want to wait for the election so they can rig the EC again and save their god from another rightful failure.

"Rightful failure"?? Get back on your meds. :)

Buttigieg: Americans 'are the jury' in Trump's impeachment trial now

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg said Sunday that it's been "frustrating" for many Democrats watching the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, but argued that those who feel that way should be energized to vote in Mondays Iowa caucus and then in November.

"If the Senate is the jury right now, we are the jury tomorrow," he said during a special edition of "Meet the Press" from Iowa. "And however frustrating it is to watch that process, you can't switch it off, you can't walk away, and you can't give up."

His right. The problem is that so many Americans are brainwashed to the point that not sure they can be objective jurors. Their partisan group tink.....is the basis of their bias. Look at their history: They kill Lincoln ...... The assassinate Kennedy, They vote Bush Jr. in TWICE!! and then vote in a lunatic like Trump. One might say that he collective judgement is highly questionable. And they just can't get past the pigmentation issue as if anyone can control the color of their skin or eyes. let alone gender orientation. They are swayed by fake messaging on social media........ accepting that info as fct......while denouncing scientific evidence. Mayor Pete might be misjudging the capabilities of the population.
