No it isn’t off topic , this whole Ukrainian issue is about Trump asking what was up with Biden . It is very much on topic , it is so on topic that the Democrats have changed the articles of impeachment away from Quid Pro Quo to shield their grand elder statesman and front running presidential candidate .
lol Whatever Trump's motive was is irrelevant. He withheld aid hoping that Zelensky (and also appealed to China) would dig up dirt on a political opponent..

It may not even make it through the House of Representatives , as it appears a number of swing state Dems are getting cold feet . Next week should tell . But they don’t seem to have any bipartisan support and not even 100% support in their own party .
I bet it will get through the House.

I am not by any means a Trump fan, OB...........but it has yet to be proven that he is indeed guilty of anything except in the minds of the dumbocrats. The chance of him being impeached are zero to none once this reaches the Republican controlled Senate.

Nice to see a post from a sensible poster once in awhile. We can use a few more!

If I had my way, President Bone Spurs would be held responsible for his crap, impeached and removed, the Senate and its contents wouldn't be so worried about President Bone Spurs Tweeeting nasty stuff about them and they'd be concerned about the security of the country instead.

Oh, so it would be guilty w/o a trial! I think I understand your mentality.

I think so too. What is concerning is O'Connell working on a defense strategy WITH the white house......ie Trump gang. It opposes the separation of powers concept .....that was so intelligently designed.

And Rudy is now back from Ukraine .........and states that he has a lot of information .........At least that is what he told Trump via phone from the airport.

It will get really ugly.......as the Trumpians will stop at nothing to deal with this ....and favor Trump. THAT is extreme fanatical "loyalty".,,,,,,,,,,misplaced to a person as opposed to the country/ constitution.

And now The Trump regime has closed ranks even further......... limiting the staff that can listen in on international calls. One hates t o think what Trump would like to do to the whistle blower.

Pretty sure Trump isn't a politician doing what politicians do.

Trump isn't a politician and never was something that many fail to realize. Politicians are answerable not only to their constituents but to their party. Trump is loyal only to himself, owes the Republicans nothing and his constituents or better yet - his adherents are not going to change their minds about him - impeachment or not. I would not be the least bit surprised if he won another term. The Democrats, just as in the last election are so wrapped up in internecine party battles that to their detriment again, they are ignoring the very people who might actually help them take the White House back. Who will be the last person standing is a total crap shoot at this point and I doubt it will get any better.

Any respect I might have had for that virago vanished when she stood solidly by Billie boy and denounced Lewinsky when it was beyond doubt that something had gone on and the cigar was the least of it. I had a good laugh at her expense when Billie finally owned up.

Trump might not be a politician... per se But he is cunning enough to learn how to use the powers of office to his advantage like a seedy low level politician does. And the crazy thing is that he will probably be"cleared" by the senate and then be reelected. He is not just a narcissist ,but a sociopath........and a very CRUEL /SADISTIC one too.

He has trashed and will continue to trash anyone that he despises, is jealous of or is critiqued by.

He is one thing.........but what he has done to the Republican party is a beyond belief.....It used to be a party of values...........and now has none. That is the effect of a sociopath.

Don't get carried away. He's not much better or worse than any other politician. Anyone who doesn't think they are ALL in it for themselves is just plain naïve. :) There's altogether too much obsession over Trump!

Actually that's not correct.

He IS a narcissist. Which on top of his dementia that's showing itself makes his sadism, cruelty and lack of any human empathy, compassion or connection that much worse.

I think anyone providing information on private phone calls should be unceremoniously fired . That goes for the leakers as well . Both sides of the aisle .
