So did you see the tape of Joe Biden bragging about withholding military aid to Ukraine while he was VP ? Was that an illegal or impeachable act ?
Irrelevant it wasn't Trump in their minds
So did you see the tape of Joe Biden bragging about withholding military aid to Ukraine while he was VP ? Was that an illegal or impeachable act ?
So should Joe Biden have been impeached for admitting to the same crime Trump is accused off ?If the US citizens are getting more supportive of Trump.........then America has changed from a Republic to something unknown .......but leaning towards an authoritarian regime. They are defying the constitution and want to follow Trump into even more chaos.
The nations that used to rely on the US .....are left in uncertainly. Same with nations that used to collaborate effectively with the US........
The US has to make up it's little mind as to whether it wants have influence (positive) on the world stage or not..........so the rest of the world can adjust , make new alliances, and watch another nation emerge as a leading power. Trump's mental chaos and actions by extension of same........is crating havoc ........He has no respect for any other nation except the dictatorships. In turn the world no longer respects him.........and his fanatical followers. Heck......even Kim is more mature than trump. .......Trump is a hand grenade on the planet and it goes off each time he tweets or talks. He is TOXIC beyond description
But watch to see how far he will go to maintain power.........and those voting on the impeachment.......will have to choose between a vile ineffective person and their nation..... If they choose the man........they will be tainted for a long time in the future Those that vote to clear him........will define the direction of the US .....
That is not presently the case , wages are rising for the least skilled workers . I know you wish that wasn’tt the case , but the American economy is strong unlike here in Liberal Canada .Wow, you're really out of touch, aren't you?
More people work 'just to live' than you know, obviously.
You also missed the point that the increase of employment is because of people needing more than one job, as full time, good paying jobs aren't the norm but are rare. Depending on where you live, you can't get a job like that, so you need two or three lower paying jobs just to live.
Are you making assumptions or do you have facts to back up your assertion?Wow, you're really out of touch, aren't you?

Maybe in a depressed area like the Maritimes that is the case , but why are there all these part time jolt paying jobs ? Someone must be supporting the businesses that employ them , do those people not have full employment ?And yet, you do.
You don't think people still live paycheck to paycheck, or work more than one job to actually afford to live.
To me that shows a distinct lack of missing out of a lot.

Yeah. The situation is obvious......to anyone who's brain has not been snatched.
The concerning thing is that so many don't even want to recognize that he did something wrong.........and blindly defend him..........Which is what he wants. History will not look kindly on the Trump republicans........as the US gets further along
It could go two wasy........the path of Trump where any and all unethical, questionably legal, and immoral behaviour is just fine by the POTUS............OR do a major correction course with some serious intelligence at the helm.
It is hard to believe taht so many literally go against the constitution, the law, and any ethical standards... and yet it happening in fron tof oureyes.
Trump's pathology has infested the brains of a lot of his followers. A larger manifestation than Jim Jones.........but the principle is the same. But Republicans........what has happened to them collectively is astonishing.......They have chosen to lose their individual identities and are now as one with Trump. That is how effective a sociopath can be
That was Jone's power and that is Trump power. Because so many are not all that well educated.......they are not able to see his behavior as dysfunctional........on multiple levels.
Yeah.
Just think of Trump's reaction if Duhbama had tried some of Trump's antics. He'd blow several fuses and call for a lynching, not just an impeachment. lol
Stay tuned for the real picture. While there are many who work just to survive and I've never said differently,
Very few people work JUST to live anymore.
most today are living fairly high on the hog.
I do most of the grocery shopping for my family and I'm in the supermarkets about twice a week. To be quite frank MOST of the shelves in the Supermarkets aren't stocked with the bare essentials to survive. Often I'm in a line up at the cashier and see the shit that passes through, like pop, chips, cheesies, sugar laden juices, sugar laden bakery items, a lot of stuff in jars and tin cans and as I've already told you disposable diapers.
On top of all that it was recently reported on the news that about 56% of groceries today end up in the land fills.
I'll admit there are a lot of people who buy the essentials like flour, sugar, cornstarch, oatmeal, rice, potatoes, ground beef, sausages, bacon, eggs, onions, carrots and peas - all the things required just to survive, but there's no need to bull shit me that this is the way a lot of families are living today because they are NOT.
Just to give you one more clue look at the size of land fills today compared with 60 years ago. On top of all that, for the ones who are really struggling there are the food banks! We live in a land of plenty.
The constant scandals, for example. Where have you been?I'm not quite sure what Trump's antics are! Could you elaborate?
Your quote.
So yes, yes you have said differently.
Never said there aren't people who don't do so. Wasn't my point.
Aside from the diapers (which really why your fixation on this?) do you know WHY people are choosing all the crap 'food'? Because when you compare it to a lot of other foods, and better for you foods, the sugary, fatty, salty crap is cheaper unless you're lucky enough to be in a city where you can find a market that sells veggies and fruits at a decent price.
Personal case in point - if I drive to my closest big "city", a half an hour away, I can get a decent amount of vegetables - depending on the season - for 20 to 40 bucks. If I go the other way to a larger town and am able to go to Wal Mart, it might cost me for those same veggies 30 to 60. In my home town, I'm looking at 50 at least for a lot of that stuff. Why? University town with a locked in population that can't travel, thus they charge a hell of a lot more for everything. So unless you're a university student (or even then), getting good food is sometimes out of reach.
Yep, because humans are stupid, wasteful assholes.
... okay what? You just agreed with me here. All those things you mentioned, people CAN'T get those things at any decent price...
When I was a kid, there were landfills and dumps.
Now it's all sent to be processed, separated, etc. and so on. In my area there's less, not more.
Food banks can only do so much, and it's TELLING when there are people who go to the food banks who supposedly make good money, either because they're azzholes and just want "free" food, or they really are struggling for some reason and need the extra help. Fuk knows I know a few people who needed to go there myself and their jobs weren't exactly great, but they weren't the worst, either. And if it wasn't for the help of my parents, I would have gone a few times myself, and I have a decent job. But the prices demanded for standard things like bills, mortgage and just food alone is insane.
Again, sure there are people who are living well/better now a days. But not ALL people are, some are worse off and there are some who ARE living paycheck to paycheck, making just the bare minimum to survive, or have to work 2 or 3 jobs TO survive.
Too many in this society.
Sorry you just can't see it; maybe take the blinders off and really look around.
Our wages have become so debased over the last four decades that you need two good salaries coming in to cover what one used to. A single income family with $60-70 thousand dollars a year coming in struggles in Urban Canada. You used to be able to raise a family quite comfortable on that but no more. Two incomes in that range are only just adequate in the GTA. I often wonder about where those nematodes who complain about the minimum wage increasing from $14.85 to $15.00 an hour come from. It sure isn't the real world.
Your #$6-700 a month apartment in the GTA will cost you $1500-2000. $6-700 will get you a room in a rooming house. The notion that a higher minimum wage will drive all the Timmy's out of business because the market can't bare another 2¢ per unit for a cup of coffee is utter and complete nonsense.I did an experiment for myself once.
Me, as a single person living in the town I do, with a decently paying job that I have, would still have to pay over $200 for a cart of groceries that would last two weeks, and be all good, nutritious food, no junk at all.
That's just me alone.
Anyone locally with minimum wage could have no hope in hell of doing that. I can't even do that all the time; groceries for me are 100 to 150 max for two weeks.
Throw in the 6-700 a month minimum for an apartment in this town - nothing included - say 100 a month for phone/cable or phone/internet - unless you went just plain cell phone and didn't get a land line - and depending on your heat (mostly electric) that could run $150 plus depending on time of year, laundry money, cab money (if you don't have a car) at six bucks a one way trip (and if you're not in an apartment it's $60 or more for hydro, plus taxes for again, not in an apartment)... do not tell me a minimum wage can support someone well.

I'm a younger Boomer. I expect to be baked into a bisquit any time now to make realestate/employment room for a millennial.Around here, 4-500 will get you a bachelor type apartment in a run down house.
That 6-7 is a one room in an okay building.
800 will get you a better apartment or it can be the start of a mortgage.
1000 is slowly getting to be the norm for base apartments of good condition here.
Sadly this is also a retiree town and a town with quite a few well off people, and the newer apartment buildings cater to them and not lower income single people, or seniors on a low set income.
