I have to totally agree with this.

The Liberals don't want to even consider an investigation into the Bidens because they know damn well that there's corruption there (Biden even bragged about how he forced Ukraine to fire a prosecutor who was to look into a corrupt gas company that his son mysteriously got on the company board and was paid an extravagant amount of money - the recording of his bragging is out there). If that isn't glaringly corrupt, I don't know what is but Dems insist there's "nothing to see here". That is the most blatant and obvious obstruction than anything the Dems have found with Trump; not even close, but here we are.
Hopefully, the Republicans will get some "intestinal fortitude" and have the Senate do an investigation into the Ukraine and Bidens. All this needs to be brought out into the open in order to "drain" the swamp. But of course, part of the swamp includes Republicans so I doubt if anything will be done. Whether Trump wins or loses in 2020, whomever replaces him (and unless someone with real integrity steps up to run for the Presidency), everything will go back as it was and the corruption that is in D.C. will continue.
Having said that I think the office of the Presidency will never be the same. I wonder who, (besides corrupt Democrats) would even want the Office since it's obvious that the bureaucrats feel they should be running the show and not the President. Apparently, they feel that an official duly elected by the citizens of the country should have absolutely no say in how the country is run, what the foreign policy should be etc. I know - absurd isn't it? But that's what is transpiring now with these impeachment hearings.

All of their complaints centered around the process, even though the process is being conducted according to rules Republicans established when they were hunting snipes over Benghazi. Rep. Elise Stefanik managed, by her constant complaining, to hitch her entire political future to the future of Camp Runamuck. By Friday, confronted by the quiet steel of Marie Yovanovitch, the Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee said more nice things about her than they did about the president*. Even Jim Jordan was polite within his own narrow limits. The lone exception was Rep. Mike Turner, Republican of Texas, who wagged his finger at Yovanovitch and peremptorily told her, "You’re done."
But let’s talk about how the day ended. Committee chairman Adam Schiff read the riot act to the administration* and gaveled the meeting to a close. Rep. Mike Conaway, Republican of Texas, began to bellow about how he wanted to speak and then, suddenly, as Yovanovitch got up to leave, the entire room burst into loud applause, drowning out Conaway’s objections. The ovation followed Yovanovitch out of the room. The Democrats on the committee, not having arrived on turnip trucks, joined in the applause.
If, somehow, the president* is turned out of office, which seems just a bit less unlikely now than it seemed at the beginning of the week, remember that applause. It was a signifying moment for all concerned.
