I bought s vehicle out there and insured it but in ICBC's infinite wisdom they put my former expired BC CPIC on the registration and I kept getting pulled over for an expired DL and it wasn't going to stop. When a 6 month contract was scrapped for a 2 year, I took up residency.

One of the positive roles of government is making sure the rehabilitation is done properly. Down hereabouts we have experience with companies that swore they'd "rehabilitate" strip mine sites, and fulfilled their promise by stripping old-growth forest and replanting with timothy grass when they were done.
Makes for nice golf courses.
