The real tragedy is that people still have to make such bold statements to emphasize the inequality and prejudicial barbarism that still exists. It seems so ingrained now in some area sof the US (and the world too).......that one wonders WHAT has to happen before those with such biases wake up and realize that all are of the same human race.......and pigmentation is just that a biological footprint and nothing more. Perhaps these prejudicual folks should do some research and educate themselves about how the humanoid evolved...... and how he moved over the planet as it existed at onetime. No race is superior and those that believe they are ......only diminish themselves via their attitude and bias.
sadly one can educate people all you want........ but if prejudice exists in ones primary environment (family) then the next generation is literally conditioned to believe what their biased parents do. The attitudes one learns during their early formative years tend to stick. ( Think Religious beliefs)..... It takes a strong and free thinker to fend off some of this , and make decisions for themselves.
People are not born with prejudice.......they learn it from their family and primary environment. .
Just as folks ARE born with certain biological traits. be they pigmentation, sexual orientation.. They do NOT learn or choose to be gay etc. NO one seems to ask WHY folks would CHOOSE to be gay in a society that shuns them.... and probably because they are simply uneducated. Or stuck in some pre historic belief system.
But if this is what they have to do to make a statement , to be seen/heard and repel the ignorant in our society.........then more power to them.
