You really are out of touch with reality. It is mostly conservatives that donate huge sums to various causes while the left always demands that the government supply what they want. Only thing is the government has no money of its own, only what it takes from the productive members of society. And these are mostly conservatives.

These are a few of the what the Liberals stand for and what the Conservatives have not over the years. There are so many more including the latest ones

Here in Canada the ideology runs along the same lines.

Most slaves who were brought or kidnapped to the Thirteen British colonies which later became the Eastern seaboard of the United States were imported from the Caribbean, not directly from Africa. They arrived in the Caribbean predominantly as a result of the Atlantic slave trade. Indigenous people were also enslaved in the North American colonies, but on a much smaller scale. Slave status for Africans usually became hereditary.
Better read a history book. The majority of slave owners were Democrats.As was most of the south.
Don't be silly!! What I posted is history!! Slavery began with the Thirteen BRITISH colonies and I am damned sure they were not a democracy at that point. ERGO No Republicans nor Democrats.
What counts is who decided slavery was an abomination and did their best to eliminate it. And it wasn't the Republicans!!
Who's talking about parties? Welcome to America, son. We don't have Liberal and Conservative Parties. Our two main parties are the Republican Party and the Democratic Party.

Ummm... yes it was the Republicans. Not only did they do their best to eliminate it... they DID eliminate it in the U.S.
Democrats of course. The Democrats loved slavery so much that they went to war to keep their slaves.
