LOl Okay... 1) I support my governments policies i.e.. Do not leave immigrants standing between two countries. They must go through the screening policies just like everyone else does Those applying in place of simply walking in over the border do not waste their time and ours. They go through the proper screening process BEFORE arriving here and are supported following the acclimation period upon arrival. Those walking over the border, are put through screening but if they do not pass .....they are not allowed to stay.
2) I do not want immigration stopped!! Quite the contrary. When immigrants, walking miles inadequately dressed during winter with small children, our government did not order them back to the US port of entry. I agree with that. BUT what you do not understand or failed to accept is that there is a procedure that will be followed, no matter which way immigrants arrive.
3) Those people did not swarm over our border. Some families came carrying their belongings, such as they were, Others had frozen appendages. They arrived in desperate straits and were definitely unable to run or swarm. They will be sorted out fairly and according to Canadian law.
I must point out to you. our immigrations laws are always followed, and that is fine with me....It is preferred that the immigrants apply for such status and not come in through the back door. So don;t worry too much about my sweet and generous spirit , I never lost it!!

Budget 2017: Liberals try to ease anxiety and get Canada ready for the future 1/25

OTTAWA - The future is coming at you, fast, and the Liberal government says it knows you're getting anxious - and potentially angry.
Finance Minister Bill Morneau delivered a federal budget Wednesday/spring 2017-that aims to get Canadians ready for a changing world and potentially shield the Liberals from the forces that brought U.S. President Donald Trump to power.
(Yes-there is the key-LIE-berals want to protect themselves from OUR ANGER- by HIDING Truth, Logic and common sense!)
``Everyday folks who work hard to provide for their families are worried about the future,'' Morneau said in his speech to the House of Commons as he tabled the 2017 federal budget, the second since the Liberals formed a majority government in 2015.
``They're worried that rapid technological change, the seemingly never-ending need for new skills and growing demands on our time will mean that their kids won't have the same opportunities that they had. And who can blame them?'' Morneau said.
(But how odd that civil servants go on for 20-30 years with NO need for new skills -it is only private sector that needs to change since govt does not mind retraining loyal LIE-beral loving civil service Hogs at our cost! Federal govt instituted the new Phoenix pay system that immediately FAILED-and US tax payers foot the bill to repair the system and train civil servants in its use-but private sector pays for re-training out of its own pocket! It’s a typical LIE-beral double standard!)
After setting up the doom and the gloom, Morneau spoke of the good news: Canadians have always been able to adapt to changing circumstances.
(Yes-we adapt by no longer worrying about owning a car or a house, resign ourselves to living in fleabag rental housing and forget about retiring with anything like the comforts available to civil service Hogs! We also resign ourselves to hospital stays where we may be sicker coming out than going in thanks to slovenly cleaning and exposure to anti-biotic resistant germs!)
The budget, which projects a deficit of $28.6 billion this coming fiscal year, including a contingency reserve, is designed to help them get there.
It includes about $5.2 billion for skills development as the government plans to help Canadians adapt their education and employment training to a diversifying economy at a time when the lower price of oil has meant the natural resource sector can no longer be counted on to provide jobs - or sustain federal revenues.
(WE have seen this LIE-beral trick before- Ontari-owe premiere McGinty put up 100 million dollars for re-training auto workers in 2008 and too bad the money was NOT available to anybody who had gone to college or university previously-which eliminated virtually ALL auto workers from govt retraining! Just the typical LIE-beral `string` attached to their now its here/and now its gone `help`! And anybody who did get that govt retraining was NOT eligible for welfare after they graduated- not even if they could not find a job! That Ontari-owe LIE-beral “hand up” that few could use also involved a serious risk of ending up bankrupt instead of better off!)
Measures include letting out-of-work Canadians go back to school or receive new job training without having to give up their employment insurance benefits, a pilot project to test ways to make it easier for adults who have already been in the workforce to access student loans and grants and doing more to promote careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics to young people.
(OH right-Chretien LIE-berals ensured that most people are not eligible for un-employment ins- but they WILL now let us keep the few pennies they allot us so we can consider going back to school and thus make sure that college profs get the fifty percent raises they are DEMANDING! With LIE-berals there are ALWAYS strings-and NONE of them lead to YOUR POCKET!)
The Liberals do not just want to help Canadians find jobs in the future. They also want to try and bring that future about. The budget commits nearly $3 billion to support innovation over the next five years and promises to develop an innovation and skills plan that will target six sectors the Liberal government see as good bets for spurring economic growth and creating well-paying jobs: advanced manufacturing, clean technology, the agri-food sector, digital industries, clean resources and health and bio-sciences.
(Advanced manufacturing is only useful if you HAVE any manufacturers in the country-with our current crop of manufacturers blasting at LIE-berals and demanding exemptions from job killing Carbon crap and trade or they will pack up and leave! The way LIE-berals are going we are unlikely to have minor manufacturing much less anything advanced! LIE-berals are encouraging Cdns to immigrate and take up jobs in other countries! And we certainly cannot afford any new green energy ideas since the old ones are killing is with costs-WITHOUT cleaning the air! LIE-berals point to cleaner air now but its lost jobs and dead industries and closed coal burning plants IN OHIO and other southern states that are responsible-with much of the pollution now moved to third world countries out of reach of idiot LIE-berals! This is NOT progress!)
As the Liberals work to ensure everyone can find a job in the new economy, they are also giving a boost to many who were left behind by the traditional one, such as women and those from indigenous communities.
(Only 25 percent of indigenous natives on reserves graduate from high school-they are too often not able to do any modern jobs-even if such existed on isolated reserves! And how reliable a worker is a drug addled suicidal native anyway?)
The budget commits $7 billion over the next decade to help increase access to affordable child care, will allow women to begin maternity leave earlier and provides more financial support for those caring for an ill or aging relative - all seen as ways to help increase the participation of women in the workforce.
(Its all a grotesque LIE-beral shell game designed to make it look like they are doing something OTHER than simply picking our pockets for their convenience! Providing more support for those caring for an aged relative is NEEDED since LIE-beral health care penny pinching means more people go home sooner from hospital! And of course- bait and switch is the order of the day- money offered over 10 years may NEVER appear-not even a small portion!)
The budget document, for the first time in Canadian history, also includes a section on how many of its measures impact men and women in different ways, with a promise to do a deeper gender-based analysis for the 2018 budget.
(Oh great-not content with dividing the country along multi-cultural lines- LIE-berals now want to turn men and women against each other as well and have us fight each other for LIE-beral crumbs!)
While this budget is relatively thin on net new spending, all these new promises still come with a cost, especially since the federal government is still footing the bill for the gigantic, ongoing commitments from last year. Canadians can expect a five-cent increase in EI premiums in fiscal 2018-19, up to $1.68 per $100 of insurable earnings, with some of that additional cost coming from the measures that will give more people access to benefits.
(So they will finance those generous new maternity leave offers with funds taken from the pockets of civil service Hogs? And didn’t LIE-berals PROMISE more gravy for Hogs? How will hitting Hogs with higher UI and CPP premiums produce more gravy for Hogs? Stupid Hogs cheated again by LIE-berals!)
The government is also looking for savings in other ways that will hit the pocketbooks of many Canadians, by eliminating the public transit tax credit, raising the tax on alcohol by two per cent - beginning Thursday - and changing the rules so that ride-sharing businesses, such as Uber, are subject to the same sales taxes as traditional taxis.
The deficit still remains nearly three times the $10-billion limit the Liberals promised in their campaign platform and while the budget's projections show it shrinking over time as the government expects economic growth to pick up steam, there is still no official word on when they expect to get back to balance.
(Reports that LIE-berals don’t want to discuss suggest that thanks to LIE-beral spending madness, we will be running federal deficits until some time in the 2050`s-and that is an optimistic projection!)
This budget also removes a pledge to reduce the ratio of federal debt to GDP over the course of their mandate, which, after busting past their promise to eliminate the deficit by 2019, was the only fiscal target they had left.
(IN other words LIE-berals have NO concern over how much debt we build up-and deny we have any need to learn from the PIGS-Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain about the damage done by massive debt! Its just short sighted LIE-berals throwing BORROWED money at us to maintain themselves in power and hoping we don’t notice how huge the debts are getting! And once we get sick of them we can throw them out and then pay them those MASSIVE MP pensions while they kick back on some beach and laugh at us suckers! AND plan their ad campaign to mock whoever gets control of govt after LIE-berals get the boot! Whoever forms the next govt in 2019 will be facing all sorts of massive spending pressures- ands how can we reduce debt unless we cut spending? Hogs all know that 75 percent of all govt spending is on THEIR entitlements and they are way to greedy not to go down without a major fight!)
