Trophy hunters would probably want to hunt game that they don't normally see.

Next we will be letting them go live in Ottawa on welfare because the time delay is unfair

We get a disproportionate number of Calgarians coming here to ride their snowmobiles and quads in our pristine alpine country. I might be slightly prejudiced. Maybe it is the class of rednecks that come here. Many stories of locals who has witnessed Calgarians running down wildlife just for the hell of it. (Spell check wants to substitute Vulgarians for Calgarians... seems appropriate).

You're not a Redneck, Cliffy? :)

If the government were smart, it would give them work and business visas and many would be happy with that at least for now.

I'm not quite sure of the extent and all the ramifications of your post, BUT we certainly don't want to do a single thing that would encourage refugees to bypass the requisite procedures and permits necessary to enter the country. :)

I'm waiting for western Canadians to start hunting near the border in their pickups. That might scare off some illegals. Armed, to take out coyotes or other vermin. The warmer weather makes varmint hunting more comfortable. Not like the winter, with the cold winds and snow.
I've been patrolling zero avenue for a couple of weeks now , no luck .

So instead they sit here getting supported by the taxpayer waiting for a backlogged system?

I pay taxes too you know.

I'll pay $1000 to see you run down a moose while riding a quad.

That's enough of a reason to hand over the $1000. And if the guy does get trampled, you should be able to get the money back.
