Liberal decline reverses in wake of Trudeau’s Trump visit – 5 point lead widens to 9 in a week

Ballot – Support for federal parties stands at 39.3 per cent for the Liberals, 29.6 per cent for the Conservatives, 16.9 per cent for the NDP, 6.3 per cent for the Bloc and 5.7 per cent for the Greens.

Accessible Voters – Asked a series of independent questions 57.6 per cent of Canadian would consider voting Liberal while 45.6 per cent would consider voting Conservative, 41.6 per cent would consider voting NDP, 30.3 per cent would consider voting Green and 39.8 per cent would consider voting BQ.

Preferred Prime Minister – Forty six per cent of Canadians prefer Trudeau as PM while 17.3 per cent prefer Ambrose, 10.9 per cent prefer Mulcair, 4.9 per cent prefer May and 19.6 per cent of Canadians were unsure who they preferred.

Qualities of a Good Political Leader – More than six of ten Canadians (64.9%) believe Trudeau has the qualities of a good political leader while 51.3 per cent think similarly of Mulcair. More than one in three Canadians think Ambrose (36.2%) and May (35.4%) have the qualities of a good political leader.

Nanos Party Power Index – The Nanos Index which is a composite of a series of measures has the Liberals with 62.0 out of a possible 100 points followed by the Conservatives with 47.9 points, the NDP with 46.1 points, the Greens with 33.2 points and the BQ with 25.0 points.
