The great Canadian Carbon Tax Grab hey! Changing the name of a tax grab to 'Carbon Reduction' doesn't change the fact that it's our Gov. way to avoid making a decision with families in mind, by suggesting something other than a Tax. I'm okay with a Carbon Tax, we all need to do our share to protect our environment, but not as an 'additional' tax, we already are taxed to death. Offset this new tax by reducing an existing tax or reducing one of many cash grabs, I would say perhaps like protecting us a bit from the Insurance Companies, or lower the disgusting cost of renewing our drivers license, plate stickers, passport, etc. etc. Some would say it's counterproductive?? not me man, as long as people are in Paris (a trip paid by the taxpayer BTW) decide to spend another 17K on selfies; entertaining entire families in Washington on our back, or anybody that can afford to hire a friends limo's for a cost of 3,703 for 2-days, also giving given China and India billions doesn't encourage me to love another tax, and lastly maybe lower Hydro's CEO salary from 4 million to ummm 3 million? How about lowering the cap-and-trade taxes? NO, I do not agree with the Carbon Tax as proposed. They should put their thinking cap on, and come back to the people they are suppose to serve with some common sense proposal.
Yup and when there is no measurable goal in mind it really boggles the mind . Never the less the first generation of totally indoctrinated graduates got to vote last term , sadly they will be paying for that mistake for the rest of their lives .

Those offices will be closed. They can go to the offices in Winnipeg if they need government services.
And drive their diesel 4x4's all the way .

They did but the grad students I work with have been shown the light. They are poised to be the next round of professors with eyes wide open to the Ecofascists.

‘We’re leading the way:’ Government to run on green power by 2025

CALGARY — The federal Liberals are promising to run all government operations on renewable energy within a decade, Environment Minister Catherine McKenna said Wednesday.

‘We’re leading the way:’ Government to run on green power by 2025 | National Newswatch

I'll stick my neck out and call Bull sh*t on that one! So every vehicle is going to run free from the use of gasoline and oil? How about all the snow plows and graders, helicopters and other fire suppression equipment? What about Gov't jet planes? I don't think the Gov't has looked into the cost of hydro power vs. diesel and coal. And then there's all the buildings that require heating and a/c. I'm beginning to think they meant the year 2125, if it's even feasible then.

They contract to private enterprises.

Does this mean more privatisation?

BTW those Parks are UNESCO after being handed over for debt relief.

That it don't burn too sh!t-hot green!

What idiot greenies like mentaltwats, monsieur potato head and Mr. Wynne can't seem to grasp is that when you enact laws that prevent the less affluent in our society from affordably heating their homes then their only recourse will be to burn wood. How to totally defeat your own purpose, clowns!

That's what I have done since electricity cost has jumped in Ontario.
