The exemption is $2 million. I don't have anywhere near that type of money so the estate tax will never apply to me.
I pay my taxes as well , most people do . But who is paying your Obamacare premium ?

Any type of socialized health care is going to be a money-pit. Okay, so the people want it let them go for it. But the quality of health care becomes poorer and poorer as the governments looks for ways to economize.
I wonder if those who put these plans in place study enough beforehand what the costs are, how the money is raised to pay for it and most of all, how the quality of care deteriorates and why.
As a Canadian who has seen health care from both sides, I see it as all other social programs created by governments; bottomless money pits with no accountability. They create social programs, spin them to the public as the greatest thing for all and then abandon any attempt to follow through with checks and accountability. When problems arise, throw more money at it and hope for the best.
It's a bloody rip off!

We're at the point where even a full tax forfeiture/penalty is cheaper than buying these worthless policies.
