At a government conference between Federal and Provincial Ministers, they’ve announced the number could be as high as 50,000.

Once again, the details are scant including on the question of whether or not there would be any screening for ideology.

The only thing that is clear through all these changes on the refugee plan is that the government’s plan is fluid so if you’re confused, at least know you’re not alone. It seems like the Liberals are too.

I would be quite surprised based on the percentage of the offers being accepted. I believe I heard a figure of 18%. Most of them want to return to their country once the dust has settled.
