I think common sense would suggest that Harper will be too busy during the next few days to be rigging elections! You think he may have a keg of beer outside the polling stations? :) :)
I think he is a secretive, narcissistic, paranoid sociopath and is capable of anything. I really don't know if he will, but I wouldn't put anything past him. He is not the only one who might rig the election. He has a whole party of scum bags to organize it. I wouldn't put it past the Lizard from Oz to have something as a backup plan if his BS niqab stunt doesn't work.

There are petitions going around that are asking the UN to monitor the election because a lot of people think he is going to rig it.

A lot of people think the moon landing was fake and that 911 was an inside job...

With that kinda logic we'll be stuck with the azzhole until he dies.

Nope, he'll be gone after another term.

Harper doesn't have to rig an election. His political opposition is split down the middle. It is a similar phenomenon to the split on the Right after the formation of the Reform Party that kept Chretien and his "natural governing party" in power long after they had run out of ideas of any kind.

I would be far more worried about the dippers trying to rig the election. They have a lust for power at any price. That is why the left goes around destroying election signs.

Re: Harper calls Globe story a lie

Appears CTV has joined The Globe and Mail in lying about this........

Insiders say PMO actively discouraged the department from accepting applications from Shia and Sunni Muslims. (link is external)

This is from CTV News, hardly known for a traditional hostility to conservatism or this government.

Sources tell CTV News that a temporary halt to the processing of some Syrian refugees was ordered earlier this year to make sure the types favoured by the Prime Minister’s Office were being prioritized. Department of Citizenship and Immigration insiders told CTV’s Ottawa Bureau Chief Robert Fife (link is external)that PMO staff went through the files to ensure that persecuted religious minorities with established communities already in Canada -- ones that Conservative Leader Stephen Harper could court for votes -- were being accepted.

Re: Harper calls Globe story a lie

So Harper didn't instruct anyone to check them for a couple weeks that they were at the security warning behest of the yanks et al. So he didn't do that. Globe says he did. Who ya gonna call kid?

The UN?... Hilarious.

... Best that you stock-up on the tin foil Cliffy... Something tells me that 8 or 10 layers is no where near enough.

It was only a matter of time before they started saying that. It is a common accusation for the US libtards.

The tards are restless today

Geez, and you think I'm mad and need a drink to calm down? I got some Flexeril and Oxycodone for you, that might mellow you out a bit.

Re: New Mainstreet poll shows a huge Conservative lead

This might be a good thing.

In my new riding of Hull-Aylmer, Nicole Turmel (though I disagree with many of her ideas and find her to sometimes be too partisan) has shown herself to be more competent than the other lical candidates, more able to think outside the box, and has presented some brilliant ideas that she intends to present to Parliament, which has made me decide to vote for her in my riding.

That said, I don't agree with many of the NDP's ideas and so believe that she could best present her ideas from the opposition benches and not from Cabinet.

So the Conservative surge gives me the best of both worlds: the confidence to vote for my best local candidate with no fear of her party dominating Parliament.

Methinks you may be over reacting a tad, Cliffy. I'm betting he has enough support he doesn't have to rig anything. Maybe you've been listening to Jr. and Mulehair too much.

Aluminum works better than tin anyways and 8 gauge rolled aluminum is quite protective. Besides, I think people quit making tin foil altogether.
If you all are using tin foil rather than aluminum foil because it's easier to type out, then try the chemical symbol for aluminum, it's even shorter than "tin" - Alfoil. One could use the chemical symbol for tin, though, but it looks awkward. You'd be typing out Snfoil.
