He probably won't last long in prison. More's the pity. Like I said, give him to me; he'll last a very long time.

I'll admit it. This case has really hit me. Did I know either of them? No. But I was wishing so hard for her to be found alive, perhaps dropped off somewhere. Anywhere. Instead. She's treated like garbage and thrown away. And I feel sad for the father as well. Neither of them deserved what happened to them. If this scumwad is the one that killed them, I hope he dies...horribly.

The cynical part of me can't help but wonder if the mother of the little girl had something to do with it. I hope not.

I just can't fathom why the little girl was killed. It's not like she could have been a witness that would rat him out. I hope we learn WHY he decided to do this vile act.

I hope that he did not rape her. he's definitely worthy of the wood chipper thread. :(

I haven't figured out what a suitable punishment for this worthless pile of sh!t is yet but the first sob sister that says he didn't mean it or he had a bad childhood should be made to live with him for a while and then get the same punishment he does if they live that long.

Just a horrible horrible story. I feel like the father may have been trying to protect his daughter and was killed. It's the only reason I can think of as to why this 22 year old would steal the child. I think he's a pedophile.

I can't fathom why the mother didn't have custody of her 2 yr old daughter. I can imagine it if the child was older and asked to live with the father, but from a mothers perspective I can't imagine what would keep me from living with my own daughter. And this woman lived in another city 4 hrs away from her toddler?

This story feels like a horrible evil horror movie script from hell.

There are a lot of things that don't seem to fit. I think it is going to get a hell of a lot more ugly before it is all said and done.:(

And you are not the only one who is thinking that the scumwad is a pedophile. I have heard people say that as well.

This usually means there is something wrong in the courts eyes with the mother.

Father and mother had an amicable custody deal.

where did you read that? Where they sharing custody of Hailey then? I couldn't understand how a mother could not have custody of her baby girl at such a young age, but if they were sharing custody that would explain it.

The system is very biased toward the mother to a fault. The mother would pretty much have to be snorting coke off the judge's bench to not have custody ... even if she was not the most suitable parent.

It means something is seriously wrong with the mother. It's very rare for a mother to lose custody. The system is quite willing to give all kinds of help and encouragement.

I totally just said the same kind of thing and posted it just after you posted this. And even then the judge would probably have to be caught by another person before doing anything.
