I am below my calorie count for the day have a lot more water to drink though...for now, drinking white wine...
I don't push hard but i do vary my speed and on the tread mill I will vary the incline. I can do 10,000 steps in an hour and a quarter, I do 10 flights of stairs or if I do hills walking I do less. My Fitbit can tell if I am walking up hill and will count it for me.\
Those "10,000 steps" are another interesting subject for discussion. Until two years ago I was walking on average 100 minutes a day (about 10,000 steps) and then I had the spell of Atrial Fib that reduced me to about 100 steps for awhile and then I got to see a physiotherapist or someone similar (don't know what his exact title was) and he told me the 10,000 steps was bullsh*t, anything over 45 minutes was a waste of time. Well that kind of blew me away, (by this time I had regained my health about 95%) and wasn't happy with 45 minutes, but then I got to thinking, it was probably adequate for an old geezer for cardio vascular conditioning, but I like to eat and hence need to burn calories so struck a happy medium of about 80 minutes a day with some hill climbing involved. So far it seems to work, but I still have to watch the weight closely. How many steps do you climb a day? I was doing close to 450 for awhile.

10,000 steps is a random number and is based upon studies done on Mennonites who average far more than that per day and eat a high fat high caloric post WWll diet and had few cardiac problems. Of course now the new research is showing high fat is not the culprit it's chemical crap and carcinogens etc along with low fat this and that. Our body doesn't do well with fake food. And those low fat conclusions were skewed...there's a shock eh, science paid off by big business....lol
I go by how I feel physically. I am in better shape now than I have been for a while but I want to lose some weight just because I feel better when I am lighter...that's just my reality and I know my body. My guy marathons so he runs gazillions of steps a week far more than 70,000 that's for sure.
Do what works for you and don't stress about it.
,
you likely do far more than most JLM

nah questions like that don't faze me...I PM'd ya....10,000 steps in 75 minutes is amazing (for someone over 40) I guess inquiring about your height and weight would be rude. (And your age would be down right cheeky)
That's for sure...............as far as geezers are concerned.
