A breeding bull in Ireland is facing death as he only shows interest in same sex peers.
The pedigree Charolais bull was expected to breed with other female cows but after checks it is clear none of them are pregnant.
The farmer, who wishes to remain anonymous, at first thought Benjy must have been put off by having to perform his sexual duties in public. But the farmer has been forced to replace him and a number of the cows are now thought to be pregnant, leaving Benjy's fate in the balance.
The farmer told the Irish Daily Mail: "The bull is now too old to castrate and turn into a bullock so I will keep him for the factory. At first I didn’t take seriously that the bull could be gay but after seeking advice I know this can happen.”

Not much of an issue here. It's a farmed animal meant for a specific purpose. If it doesn't serve its purpose, kill it & stop wasting your resources on something that's useless.

I mean seriously, what's the point of this report?

That the bull is gay and is being discriminated against because of it? Should the Bull be protected by human rights and equality?

Should the GLBT (or whatever they're called) start protesting and defending the bull's right to live and get it on with other gay bulls?

Maybe the bull could be their new mascot and focal point for their equality cause.

Seriously though, in most cases, this sort of thing wouldn't have even made the news as a farmer would normally have just killed the animal and sent it off to the factory without going to the media about it and nobody would be aware of it.

The only reason I can think of is for those special 15 minutes of fame.

so the farmer gets to stay anonymous but they out the bull by name? Benjy should sue.

I know why the farmer is embarrassed ... who names their bull Benjy??? a gay farmer? lol

should be Fernando or Ricardo or something like that. lol
