Technology isn't a problem. Get rid of illegal aliens in order to employ citizens. Pay citizens a living wage.

Improve the economy by creating more skilled and meaningful jobs. Increase human capital by reforming public education. Start the process of reforming public education by getting rid of teachers unions. Prioritize students and the development of skills.

Nah, we used to have that. Since we no longer do, it didn't work.......................?

ski-doo suit shopping next week, checking my kit, shovel, mittens, snow tires, new battery, window scrapers, firewood, tire chains, fix snowblower, ,,,,,I should get married.

Nah, just get a rescue for the winter.;-)...........local pound is full of em...........(so I hear)

Like I said, projecting again.

Wow!

That's exactly what I told you the last time we posted to each other.
That was one full month ago gerryh, I would think you would have got over it by now.

It must of left a real souring taste in your mouth. :)
I must of hit a real sensitive spot.

You're welcome for helping you figure something out about yourself.
No one is perfect gerryh. Will help you become more aware of yourself.

Maybe...maybe not. There have been several previous attempts at globalization. Time and time again the forces and processes of history intervene to prevent it.

I don't think there's much doubt that there's an awakening in the offing. I think we are going to have to sink more resources into things like our health, education and maintaining the planet and probably less on the casinos, golf courses and wine & dining.

To start with Japan has been in an economic downturn since the eighties and for many of
the same reason that caused the collapse in 2008. Follow the money its not totally about
Obama its about Bush as well and a touch of Clinton. These guys didn't do what needed
to be done. Business has to understand they have to pay their share and obey the law like
everyone else.
I read a few years ago that about 25-30% of people were directly affected by the Great
Depression. If it were to come again about 85% would be directly effected and that would
collapse not only America but he entire world into one hell of depression and a conflict in
the streets in most countries.
I also don't go about looking for total gloom and doom but governments around the world
have done little to mitigate the problems that brought the economic threat in 2008 all band aides
and nothing more so yes it could happen hopefully it will not

The 25 year Depression would naturally follow a 25 year Recession........

Why pay to create meaningful skilled jobs when they'll just be exported to nations paying the equivalent of a buck an hour?

That circumstance is heavily influenced by the demand from the consumer for cheaper products.

To start with Japan has been in an economic downturn since the eighties and for many of
the same reason that caused the collapse in 2008.

Japan's woes began when their trade balance began to tilt in addition to their central bank offering money at 0%... The global melt down simply amplified that circumstance

Business has to understand they have to pay their share and obey the law like
everyone else.

Their share?... Do you mean relative to the approximately 50% of Americans that don't pay Fed tax at all?... Is that what you mean by 'fair share'?

The corps and high net worth individuals are the primary contributors to the entire tax pool.

... Major corps are leaving the USA and establishing their HQs elsewhere because the tax burden keeps increasing.

25-Year Great Depression Is About To Strike America

Just when we thought things couldn’t get better under the Obama administration, with our “free” healthcare and “free” cellphones, a CIA Expert warns America of the darkest days yet to come – a 25-year-recession. This would make the Great Depression look like a joke.

......................................

Could it be??

The way things are going, it could be a lot longer than 25 years and a lot deeper than The Great Depression. We could be at the onset of a Civilizational Collapse.. and a New Dark Age.. of poverty, famine, pandemics, technological retreat, depopulation, incessant warfare and tribalism.. and it could last centuries.

As Oswald Spengler noted in Decline of the West, the disappearance of the fundamental civilizing impulse of a civilization, always conforming to original religious and moral archetypes, will lead to its ultimate extinction.

That's where homosexuality.. and Free Market Capitalism.. and abortion.. euthenasia.. and all the other strange bedfellows of the post structural age have brought us.. a radical and licentious climate of gratification free of any responsibility to the community as a whole.. and the inevitable disintegration of that community.

That circumstance is heavily influenced by the demand from the consumer for cheaper products.
Consumers want cheaper products because most of them live on starvation (minimum) wages because all the good paying jobs were sent over seas by greedy capitalists. Kinda Catch 22ish.
