Racism is ok if the acknowledgment of it will disempower you. It just a word.

Do you think the whole "Birther" movement would have gained so much traction if he were white? Would people be questioning his college credentials?

Certainly not everyone who disagrees with him is racist, but race was obviously part of the issue for all too many people.
No names then. Par for the course.

Ok.. Conduct a poll seeking the opinion of Asians, Chinese, Latins and Whites asking the same question.. In the event that any one, or all those groups decry that racism is on the rise, then I guess that you're sh*t outta luck relative to understanding the issue at all.

You can either make the decision to dig a bit on this or plop your head in the sand... Your choice

Lol, no. This logic is terribly flawed.

That's a super interesting comment to me since you are always on the edge of implying that I am a racist. You are quick to say that you aren't saying that about me, while implying that I am in discussions about inner city youth. I don't have a problem with you or anyone calling me a racist since I am not, none the less, your comment fascinates me.

Always? Geez it has been awhile since we got into it.

In fact I think as of late I've been giving you a whole bunch of thumbs ups and positive comments about your posts.

But hey... let's dig up some bones and get to flaming. Do you remember the threads?

Lol, wow.

All I can do is share a real saying with you.

“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”

― George Carlin

Whatever it is you think you are doing here, I certainly have no interest in trying to outdo you at it.

Thanks for sharing. I'll try to remember that next time you post something idiotic.

Racism is definitely on the decline. I can remember the days when Chinese, Native Indians had to sit up in balcony of the movie theatre and mixed marriages between "whites" and blacks or orientals or Native Indians was not accepted. Half breed kids had a huge stigma to overcome. In that regard this country is a much better place today.

Time frame. While things are certainly better now than in slave times, it is less clear if it is better or worse than 5 or 10 years ago.

Remember the question is "getting worse", not worse than 50 years ago.

Everything is better under BHO, those who think differently are racist.

Hahahaha, how on earth am I supposed to answer that question with names? You want a list of every racist person in the US?

Maybe BaalsTears to start. Is that an acceptable name to you?

Lol, no. This logic is terribly flawed.

I see... So, you are content to pass judgement, relying exclusively on a poll that is based entirely on the speculative and highly subjective assessments of the respondents without any context whatsoever... Of course, this rock-solid 'evidence' is concrete proof that can be generalized across an entire society on a basis that compares different relative feelings over different time frames

Thanks for coming out, let me see if Vanna has a parting gift for ya as a consolation prize

You're the one who said some people are racist:

"Certainly not everyone who disagrees with him is racist, but race was obviously part of the issue for all too many people." and "Far too many people have done a good job of making that a reality."

So name some names to back up your claim.

Northern Ontario,
To some people it's quite simple.....

If you wouldn't vote for Obama......you're automatically a racist.....

If you'd vote for Ford in Toronto in 2010....you're automatically a homophobe...

If you don't get that you're a dumb phuck....

Or ask blacks who aren't yo yo's living in self induced poverty. What is the drop out rate for blacks in America?

I have zero sympathy for a person who denies themselves an education.

I'm not sure if everything we see is RACIAL discrimination! Some of it may be BEHAVIOUR discrimination. Any perceived decline toward the Chinese may be due more to substandard goods foisted upon us, than the colour of their skin.

I never claimed that this poll proved anything. My opinion is based on what I have observed.

My point is that your ideas of how to somehow prove or disprove that racism exists are incredibly flawed. There is no formula for racism.

You're the one who said some people are racist:

"Certainly not everyone who disagrees with him is racist, but race was obviously part of the issue for all too many people." and "Far too many people have done a good job of making that a reality."

So name some names to back up your claim.

Names don't make any sense in this scenario. I pointed out groups.

But I also gave you a name just for fun, so why are you not happy with that?
