They are doing this all wrong. Terrorism is a piss poor idear.

Welcome the thumper trucks with open arms and get a freebie geofizzix report and start haggling for a percentage be it sold of used for Band industries.

No more chopping firewood for elders who have gas fireplaces at the fully equipped and staffed healing lodge.

This is way better than a casino.

Good point. a lot of the "well water gas fracas " is actually shallow gas seeping into the water , as nature intended it.

Have you ever seen the old shallow wells south east of Kamsack, Petros? It used to supply the town in the 1940-50's. Old works are still in place.
You still can't run a water well there without hitting Natural gas. Never fracked.

My son has been working in the patch for over 25 years and he says otherwise.

The structure fractures horizontally in shale, not vertically. On top of that more and more fracs are done with propane & sand or just plain water. There is a big move away from the chemical fracs because of all the negative opinions, even though there is no evidence of any problems with any prior jobs.

Seems to me the biggest problem is people who don't really know jack-sh*t spouting off like they're experts and everyone else who doesn't know anything about it takes them seriously and freaks out like we're all gonna die. All the real experts, those that work in the industry all agree there is no danger.

Hmmmm. Could it be the ones tossing gasoline bombs at people and burning cop cars (which I and other taxpayers now have to replace) or was it police acting in accordance with the law to enforce a court injunction. You tell me Cliffy.

You obviously didn't watch the video. They have every right to refuse to let any activity on their land for any reason. The feds are using strong arm tactics to force them to allow an American company to do whatever it pleases on land that is theirs by treaty. But, as usual, Harpo ignores international law, our treaties and our Canadian Charter of Rights to force his agenda on these people. This is going to backfire on him. The is already a backlash solidarity movement across the country. It is almost as if Harpo is purposely setting the fire to force a confrontation with all aboriginal peoples.

What the news is telling you is not the truth. It is hate propaganda, plain and simple and people like you just eat it up because it fuels you prejudices against these people.

Mine too, which would explain why you and PN get what you get... ;-)

Well you do tend to say a lot of stupid things, so, well, you know, lol.

I do love your new avatar. I love how you're quaking in the middle there. I would imagine that's how you look when you get all emotional.

Oh, and the new moniker, "The Troll Bashing Troll", lmao. You actually have to bash a troll to call yourself that. You getting bashed by a Cannibal Troll, until you lose it and get all emotional, doesn't count.

But thanks for the great laugh.

There was a refinery in Kamsack at one time. The cyclone blew it away and it never came back.

Well done Cliffy, you have managed to blame Harper himself for something done across this entire country for a great many years before his time, really shows your IQ.

What happened from the aboriginal point of view:

Showdown Mi'kmaq blockade - the real story - YouTube

What BS.

Let me say that I am much closer to what is going on here than anyone else on these threads. I wish I could go into detail, but that would threaten my employment.

Oh, and fracking is NOT a threat to anyone's water.

Now, let's see what they left out:

1. No matter how the narrator likes to babble, this is NOT Indian land.

2. The "peaceful" protesters have destroyed hundreds of thousands of dollars of SWN equipment.

3. The "peaceful" protesters were armed with a (very) few SKS rifles, and a lot of ammunition.

4. The "peaceful" protesters had built IEDs.

5. The "peaceful" protesters continually threatened the private security on site with everything up to and including death.

6. The "peaceful" protesters imprisoned 7 private guards for a period of hours.

7. The "peaceful" protesters blocked a public road for weeks.

8. The "peaceful" protesters were in violation of a legal injunction.

All the above BEFORE the trouble last week.

As far as I am concerned, the RCMP were too little too late. This should never have been allowed to go this far, and action should be taken every time an injunction is brought and ignored. If that requires breaking some heads, so be it. If you don't want women and children pepper-sprayed, leave them at home, or obey the law.
