Why would it take an exchange of money?

It baffles the hell out of me how people can be insulted in this magnitude and do absolutely nothing about it.

WTF happened to people?

In other words I've detached my emotions from the country and created a separate reality involving family, friends, and nature.

Nailed it. At the end of the day, hang on to your friends and family. They, not Obama and Harper, are the key to a happy and productive life.

Tober: Dems are not for the working class, middle class, upper class or those most hated 1 percenters. The dems are for the fastest growing class in America. That would be the slackers that are draining the taxpayers dry. Don't be bamboozled by the dems. The day the taxpayer isn't considered the common man is the day all the government subsidies and entitlements will end. We are getting very close as we are outnumbered by those who spend their days scheming to get the latest and greatest entitlement.

Corporate fraud in the US vastly outpaces anything that is occurring in other areas of society.

The economic crisis of a few years ago was the result of a tiny minority of Americans using their influence to create changes that almost entirely benefited them while also creating fundamental vulnerabilities in the market. And when the system came close to the brink of collapse it was the American taxpayer who was forced to bail out the "Too big to fail" institutions.

If there was any real oversight and political independence in the US the financial institutions behind much of the current problems wouldn't even be allowed to become too big to fail. That description alone is evidence of what's wrong.

After weeks of tumultuous debate, the measure passed late Wednesday with less than two hours to go until October 17, the date from which the Treasury had warned it might not be able to pay its bills.
The last-gasp plan will stave off the most pressing crisis by extending the US Treasury's borrowing authority until February 7. Lawmakers also reached agreement on funding government through January 15.
congress

Obama signed the bill in the wee hours of Thursday, shortly after the Congressional green light.
In early market reaction, stocks in Asia rose. In Tokyo, the benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 169.03 points at 14,636.17 by the lunchtime break. In Hong Kong, shares were up 0.23 percent.

I would be very interested to see how many investors with close ties to congress and the white house made a fortune today. Even more interesting would be how many congressmen and senators had amazing returns on their portfolio today.

All that because I wouldn't answer your question? I thought you yanks were against giveaways? If you want an education about Canada go pay for one. I'm not interested in teaching you.
That's funny, he already knows more about Cnada than you, lol.

Your posts example that nicely... Thank you.

Your posts are so pathetic they're not worth ignoring.
Funny, I was just thinking the same thing about yours.

I guess mine are just to awesome for you to acknowledge, lol.

All kidding aside, my guess is, I scare the hell out you, lol.

Curious if you Canadians have trouble hiring people capable of communicating and writing well? Here in the USA it is a real problem.

I don't need an education on Canada, but I'm quite certain you do.

Yep I remember Gov. Palin being vilified for ranting against crony capitalists , You know the kind like the immortal Warren Buffet supporting the Democratic party with money and supporting inviromental organizations against keystone xl all the while building rail cars to move the same product as keystone xl. Crony Capitalists Most are Democrats if you look at the numbers. At least for the last 6 years.

The capitalists and their corporations support both parties so they can always get what they want. It doesn't matter who is in power, they are the real power and control in the US (and Canada) they don't give a rat's azz about you or any other peon. You guys are arguing over which pile of crap stinks worse when the piles all came from the same source.

Not that long ago the majority of humans produced food and there were few capitalists. These days the majority are capitalists and few produce food.

What do you believe will happen next?

Everyone wallows in the trough these days. In the mid 1950s 60% of income was spent on food, today it's 12% which is up from 10% just 5 years ago. Slowly but surely the trough is emptying.

There is a good case for extensive gardening. Gated gardens are the 'next trend', replacing extensive grain fields, close to urban areas.

Lockers, irrigation supplied. Sometimes freezers and washrooms.

As to the debt crises

Just like a shallow well, you have to give it a chance to recover sometimes. Beans and K.D. for a month is the only solution. -:)

Nobody knows how to garden any longer. It's becoming a lost art.

I grow one, albeit it's mostly clay.

Does Big Mac sell any food that comes out of a garden? -:)

Food producers aren't capitalists?

Always have had a garden and will continue to do so as long as God gives me strength.
