...being Canadian... having beer that's not watered down with piss..

LOL that photo above reminds so much of this photo..

Unless it's beer from Jewtah, it's not watered down.

Being a Canadian means being a part of Vancouver/British Columbia, with its smoked salmon, Nanaimo bars, maple syrup, and, of course, the loonie. I love Canada!
I prefer smoked salmon from Kamchatka.

On Canada day we remember the sacrifices of all the brave men and women who have served, sacrificed and given their lives so that we may live in a free and democratic nation. We honor today as it also marks the 97th anniversary of the Battles of the Somme and Beaumont-Hamel.

On July 1, 1916, at Beaumont-Hamel, the men of the Newfoundland Regiment advanced over open ground into a relentless barrage of artillery and machine gun fire. Tragically, in less than half an hour, the Regiment
suffered tremendous casualties and the next day, only 68 of the approximately 800 men who went into battle would answer the roll call.

Lest we forget

The British Commander said this about the RNR after the battle...

“It was a magnificent display of trained and disciplined valor, and its assault failed because dead men can advance no further.”

So was I, and in Jewtah it's 3.3% while 5% everywhere else in the US.

It's just a fun myth... that Canadian's have.. it's like the war of 1812.. National Pride.

Canada beer vs US beer

This is a weird sense of national pride; there's even many jokes about how their beer has a much higher alcohol content then the American counterpart. I've never understood this oddity. Why is more alcohol a good thing? It doesn't give better flavor or doesn't produce a better aroma.

This would be like the Dutch bragging that their Edam and Gouda has more cholesterol and fat then Swiss cheese, or the French bragging about their cigarettes having more tar and nicotine then American cigs.

Canada Day is here!

The greatest country in the world is turning 146. And while Canadians are generally considered to be polite, under-the-radar type folks, Canada has given the world some of its greatest inventions. In honour of Canada Day, here are 50 of Canada's greatest gifts to the world:

every canada day I 'thank', with all of my heart, my mothers parents, and my father, for coming to this country,

allowing me to be born a canadian, and even better, a west coaster.

We just came back from our little canada day parade, here in courtenay, lots of fun.

my mother was brought to canada when she was 3, my dad moved here when he was about 20.

So you're a first Generation Canadian.. born in Canada??

My "birth" mother was Norwegian and my "birth" father German.. I was born in Ontario, Canada.. married a Mexican, then a US citizen later.. which afforded me dual citizenship to the USA..

Canada really will always come first in my Heart..

Bud is the worst beer on the planet. I'd drink Lucky Lager before that.

Mass produced crap in the US & Canada. But you are still young enough to gain taste in good beers.

I've never had Lucky Larger. PBR is making a big comeback for folks who are just going out to get "bit".

I used to be a strictly Bud/Bud Light drinker. However I have found myself going to the tap more and more for Blue Moon or the various seasonal beers.

If I am going out with the guys... definitely Bud Light. For 4th of July we'll be filling up the Red Plastic Cups with Bud Light behind the pick-up during the parade for sure.

Is Bud and Bud light popular there?

American beer is improved by filtering it through kidneys. Preferably, horses' kidneys.
