This may explain why Rob Ford fired his chief of staff.

9 Things We Know -- And Don't Know -- About The Rob Ford Controversy

All I can say is the sooner this attention s1ut is gone from politics the better for Toronto and Canada.

(A source close to the mayor's office told CBC News that Towhey was fired because he told Ford to "go away and get help." But this has not been independently confirmed, and Towhey has refused to make any public comment on the events.)

Out of all the Ford blunders, this is probably the one I could condone the most.

Even if he smoked crack, as long as had the gumption to keep his mental faculties sharp then that would be a huge selling point for the right-wing libertarians.

Then again, this is Ford we're talking about. He shouldn't be picking up anything that could compromise what little lucidity he has left.

Ford then blurted out the address of two 17th-floor units — 1701 and 1703 — at a Dixon Rd. apartment complex, to the shock of staffers at a city hall meeting almost two weeks ago.

The mayor cited “our contacts” as the source of his information, according to insiders familiar with the unusual May 17 session in his office.

Staffers were alarmed by the implication of hearing so precise a location, sources said.

We'll just leave it to you to spam the story into oblivion here then shall we.

It sounds like it's all a big game for Rob Ford.

According to the Star report, sources said Ford told senior aides a day after the scandal erupted that he knew where the video was and named apartments at a west-end complex.

The newspaper said the sources told it that staffers were alarmed by what they heard.

As I said, his idea of politics is to create as much chaos as he can and then act the victim.

I bet Hudak and Harper won't be going to Fords BBQ this year.

I'm starting to think Harper and Duffy are paying Ford to stick around to take all the attention away from the con game being held in Ottawa.

This Ford family, as opposed to that Ford family, has many friends in the Police Dept so who knows what's going on behind the scenes but for all of his 'closest advisors' to depart dosen't make him look good. And don't forget that when you control who gets what in taxpayer laegesse for construction projects etc., you meet some less than desireable characters......

Rob Ford's IT Geeks Refuse to Cover Up the Crack Video Email Records

Towhey's emails would be of particular interest. It was reported earlier this week that the mayor's director of logistics David Price told Towhey he knew where they could find the video of Ford smoking crack cocaine. When Price asked what they should do with that knowledge, Towhey apparently told him to go to the police. Towhey ended up going to the police, with the information from Price, on his own. He was fired a few days later, reportedly over asking the mayor to check in to rehab.

At the very least Ford should step down while this is being resolved, the fact he isn't just shows how selfish he is.

I think the best outcome of this would be Ford being charged with something.

But if Fords Bar B Que is free, Duffy may show up if he gets paid for the day and travel costs.

Now read the 3rd sentence carefully. .................

The Ontario Tories seem to be distancing themselves from Doug Ford, who the party has previously called a potential star candidate.

Ford had expressed interest earlier this spring about running for the Progressive Conservatives if an election was called over the budget.

Despite the storm brewing down at city hall and Doug Ford's conservative ties, PC party spokesperson Alan Sakach says he doesn't think this affects the conservative brand.

Councillor Doug Ford says he spoke with someone within the Progressive Conservative Party saying they are 100 per cent behind him.

Ford would not say who that person was.

It would be the outcome, his enemies on the council would love and also left bent ideologues like you.....but not necessarily the best outcome for Toronto ratepayers......
And of course leftard twits would like to see him step down and the Toronto Star would probably throw a party.

IF he was being investigated or charged, then yes, step down. He shouldn't be stepping down because some yahoo makes unsubstantiated claims against him. Prove the claim, or shut the fu ck up.

Lots of claims, no evidence, yet they keep on building. Eventually the facts will break one way or the other.
Give it a few more weeks or so.

Is anyone concerned about the pollution caused in cyberspace discussing turkeys like Duffy and Ford? -:)

I guess the burning question is how much is all this sh*t costing the City of Toronto every day? Do people want to do serious business with this charade in the background (and foreground)?

Pooched is putting it mildly.

Actually there is business going on. Today council passed a motion put forward by the mayor to cut the number of councillors to 25 from 44. It'll save the city millions.

Executive Committee agrees to study cutting number of councillors

There's another position to cut...

It would be incredibly funny if all these allegations proved to be false. I rather suspect this is why his Mayorship has been quiet on the issue. Letting the goofballs get hit with a big ball of their own $hit.
