And I am sure that your unbiased statement makes you an expert on what defines quality and accuracy.

Actually it doesn't. I'm merely pointing out that popular does not equal quality. If it did, Jersey Shore would be considered a quality show. But I do thank you for recognizing my statements as unbiased.

I don't understand most of you. I watched the video and had many questions at the end about why they are being treated differently to CTV Newsnet, CBC Newsworld, etc. and why companies like Rogers and Shaw are allowed to favour their own channels while pushing Sun News aside.

You may not agree with them, but to call them "Fox News North" and worse is an insult to free speech and freedom of press, simply because you don't agree with their programming? In that case, I would suggest that you are PROGRAMMED.

As a lefty 'll say that it might have antagonized, had I bothered to watch it. Which I didn;t.

Which is why democracy is failing in this country. The whole point of democracy is to listen to what others have to say; freedom of press is a vital extension to that very democracy that you seem to (or not) enjoy.

Ratings are dipping as old white men die off.

That is uncalled for and racist. Not acceptable on this site.

That's right...... now.... if it was a comment concerning muslims, that would be a-ok.
I disagree completely with many aspects of that religion. But as Rocket Robin has stated correctly, Muslim is not a race.

I may also disagree with Roman Catholicism, but I wouldn't call that racism. Get a grip.

technically, there are no "races". There are no real genetic differences between modern man, only surface differences such as skin pigmentation and minor bone and muscle differences. Genetically, we are all the same.

Now, that being said, I question the mental acuity of anyone that pulls the "race card" to stifle debate. Now let's make it perfectly clear, when a mod or, especially, an admin make the comment that some word or concept is "Not acceptable on this site", they are stifling debate.

That's like saying "Water is not a liquid". Your understanding of genes is seriously flawed. A gene is a part of DNA (and RNA) which determines everything about a human being. It could be anything from the capability of intelligence to skin colour to even the ability to the ability to reproduce and anything and everything beyond.

Who pulled the "race card" to stifle debate? I realise I quoted somebody, but I would really like to know what on earth you are referring to.

The only ones that like to split humans into different "races" are racist themselves.

You did by stating that the "whitey" comment was racist and not welcome. All the while you allow rampant bigotry towards Muslims as a whole.

First off, I don't buy that democracy is failing in this country. Canada is pretty much universally considered as a kick-*** place to live. We're doing OK.

Second of all, I'm always open to reasoned debate--otherwise I wouldn't be here. Sun News isn't for people who like to think, it's for people who want to be told what to think.

Seriously, you can't say kick-*** on this site? Sheesh.

you need to keep in mind that andem is an "expat". Obviously he doesn't think too much of the Country that has honoured him with citizenship.

So in your opinion, racism against one group is fine, yet "racism" against a religion is not.

Democracy is failing. Too few people are voting because they are disillusioned by what the main political parties are saying. It doesn't matter which party you vote for, you are attacked... despite the fact that they are all indistinguishable when they are actually in office. The only difference between any of the parties are their rhetoric.

Free speech and press are also in danger, as illustrated wonderfully in this thread.

Again, you are implying something. What you seem to imply in this case is that my opinion doesn't matter.

Since I run this board for free and allow everybody to post their own opinions on politics, which actually gives me a fair amount of headaches, I would have been better off completely banning people like you. Since I spend my hard-earned cash on providing a forum to host your opinions and rants, despite my own personal disagreement, I'd say you don't think too much [sic] of anybody but yourself. I'm digressing, but being an "expat" makes me even more aware of international issues and gives me a better overall perspective on issues you are so quick to judge.

Your obvious hatred of where somebody is from or chooses to live is quite obvious. Lovely that.
