'Canada’s parliament has approved a bill that prohibits people from hiding their faces during unlawful gatherings and punishes the violators with up to ten years behind bars. The Canadian House of Commons adopted the measure after the majority of lawmakers voted for the bill, which will be sent to the Senate.'

:canada: SOON TO COME ::

A law will be passed stating ANY gathering "may" be deemed unlawful by the "authorities"

Wait for it.

They already have the riot act. The unlawful gathering act.

What more do they want ?8O

Why hide your face if you believe in what you are doing? Maybe, it because what you are doing is unlawful and you don't want to be caught? I see nothing wrong with this at all.

Gotta agree. If you are standing up for something then stand up and be counted. The only ones who wear masks are the ones with nefarious intentions.

Just to be a dink...wear a mask of your own face....

Or have jobs/businesses on the line. That kinda fear keeps those who should be speaking from speaking.

It seems to me there are already more laws on the books than it is possible to enforce!

Sweet!

Been a long time since I spent time in/around Jasper... Love that town and it's not nearly as busy as Banff.

BTW - My hats-off to you for not wearing a mask.... Heaven knows that the feds might have someone on the hill looking at handing out fines for wearing one in public.

But if you go shopping in Jasper make sure to take three wallets loaded with money!

Try to spend more time around Banff in the summer....better hiking/climbing but yeah, it is a busy place around the town.

Used to ski at Whistler lots (Dad has a townhouse there) but now with the travel required and $100/day lift tickets I'll stick to Marmot.

Not so bad if you know where to go but still expensive compared to a lot of places. I try to hit earlybird/end of season sales but still buy most stuff before travelling.

I lived in Whistler for a winter when I was 18. That was one helluva good winter but the best skiing is inland for sure. I have this thing for being in the sun and dry in the winter.

Fernie is very nice. Never skied Kimberly or Kicking Horse. Did spend 2 weeks at Red Mt a few years back which is quite a reasonable place with lots of good terrain and cheap accommodation down the valley in Trail.
Montana, and Idaho have wicked skiing on the cheap.
