There's positive proof you're full of shyte. You announced I was on your ignore list (and quite honoured to be first) now you neg rep a post you wouldn't be able to see if I actually were there. Shame on you fibber!

If you're going to put someone on ignore, actually ignore them. Don't troll around bragging about how you're ignoring people. Yuck.

It's like return of the 6 year olds.

'i can't HEAR YOU!!!!!!!!!!', shouted with your fingers in your ears.

ignore, or don't ignore, but stop the foolish announcing of it. That's extremely childish.

It would take a revolution in particle physics to overturn the current scientific consensus on the existance of and human responsibility for Gloabal Warming and associated climate change.

It would take a complete revision of our understanding of radiation, and falsifying the second law of thermodynamics. A whole lot of physics actually.

Since there have been no external forcings: no Milankovitch cycles that are the source of Ice Ages.

Oh, the Milankovitch forcing hasn't disappeared, it's just much smaller in magnitude than other forcings are right now. In fact the long-term (millenial) trend in the Arctic was cooling, until we began increasing the opacity of our atmosphere to the infrared radiation emitted by the surface. Read Kaufman et al. (2009).

I'm not bragging, the word I should have used was ridiculous. How pathetic do you have to be to endlessly troll a topic you essentially know nothing about, but don't want anyone else to be educated on either...even though it almost certainly will affect all our lives in a profound way.

For me yuck is gigatonnes of CO2 going into the atmosphere from the tar sands and megatonnes of toxic waste polluting a sizable portion of a place I love. You don't have to love oil to be a good Canadian.

As for trolling, although I haven't looked lately I'm willing to bet that some of the latest posts from Petros, LW and a few others I have on ignore probably deal with how insane, stupid I am or how I work for a competing oil company, which has nothing to do with the subject being discussed.

So you're right it's really not hilarious, more like sad.

How about a little moderating on this thread, then I wouldn't feel the need to filter out the genuine trolls.

How exactly are you planning on putting yourself on ignore?

Which is my point.

The reduction of flow of longwave radiation out of the earth's atmosphere necessitates an overall warming of the atmosphere which to a large degree will be transfered to the much larger thermal mass of the oceans and bring about major shifts in the global climate as the oceans are one of the principle drivers of climate. Playing around with the uncertainty is tantamount ot rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic while claiming you're keeping it from sinking. Not only are you preventing people from saving themselves, you're doing it with the full knowledge of that fact. Climate change denial borders on the criminally negligent, especially when it's done by people in positions of authority. They actually have to have a pretty good understanding of the science to counter it, but no real appreciation or acceptance of the true human and ecological costs.

The most important Milankovitch forcing is also the smallest but acting over millenia results in massive build-up of ice sheets on the Northern Hemisphere as slightly more snow falls on average each year than melts. Negative feedbacks like the ice-albedo effect and increased uptake of water vapour and CO2 trigger accelerated cooling and glaciation. What we're doing is massive in magnitude when compared to a process that can eventually cover a significant portion of the globe in kms thick ice.

There's a reason people are very concerned...

You're a douche, Karrie is anything but a pathetic. You are no better then the far right who believes the world is four thousand years old. You suck up the dogma and regurgitate.

It's about this comment

Sadly, AB just produces the stuff, the biggest markets that we sell to in Canada (via the USA) is Quebec and Ontario... Ironic, non?

In actuality, the specific example of yours that I had in mind related to the 'magazine articles' that he had posted regarding global climate crises. It seemed that there were 'peer reviewed' papers (for whatever that's worth these days) that provided the same message/results, but you offhandedly dismissed them as the source (apparently) was not to your liking.
You perhaps missed y saying that there were a couple of peer reviewed papers that posited a 'possibility' of global cooling. I also said why they thought it possible.

I also said that those papers are now in the dustbin and the authors did not continues yo support their earlier position. Events and science proved them wrong.

There were also three times as many papers predicting global warming in that same 1970s period. Predicting, not just suggesting a possibility.

You can go back to 1955 and find the first prediction of warming by one of the greates, Broecker.

So what actions did Canada take? Signing an agreement isn't an action.
Please list what actions happened under the Liberals, other than words and vague promises.
Very little other than the major step proposed by Dion for a carbon tax. What agreements they did have I do not remember and it is not important now as Harper cancelled them.

I don;t think I said they had disappeared. I wrote about their effect.

After receiving three negative rating from you in as many minutes.

As there's a moderator here now criticising my behaviour I now intend to go through all the abusive nonsense posted by you and other trolls on this topic and complain.

My apologies for having missed this! I didn't realize it would so upset you that I didn't read the thread, that 14 hours after replying, you'd have to go back and neg rep my post to you.

Curious that you'd bring up moderating to me, as I'm not a moderator.... hmmm.... I wonder which past-life member you are.

No matter what you say, it's childish. And feel free to neg rep this one too, and perhaps find and ACTUAL moderator to take your complaints to. I'll be sure to point out this little exchange to them.
