This government is about to be hurled out of office in BC because they did not
listen to the people and they took the voter for granted. People in BC don't
want to hear the issues or contemplate the direction of Christy Clark they just
want to vote. The election will feature the demise of the government.
No they haven't listened to the people. Well sort of, they have not taken into
account the risks of where they put the plant and where they are going to ship
from. These pipelines could go to Vancouver and out to an easy port. On the
other hand, it is time to ship only finished products and no raw resource material.
We should not be exporting energy resources to Asia period.

Kimber Morgan has plans for a line to Burnaby. The reason the Gateway is going to Prince Rupert is, it''s 3 days closer to Asia using the "great circle'.
Refine and upgrade the oil- strip the gas of the money making materials- and still sell the gas- Problem now in BC will be supplying electricity to these companies. Electricity supply is getting short in areas of major development.
And a hazardous sea route in and out- a few hundred kilometers farther would reduce that risk. Does that sound reasonable or does it make sense?
It would indeed. There already enough traffic through Juan De Fuca Strait going to/from Seattle and Vancouver
So it makes sense and it is closer on the circle- less tanker traffic thru a high risk area - less opposition.
One would think. But the greenies don't want any pipelines, any rail traffic or any ship traffic anywhere in Canada.
I'm kind of wondering how DG figures on exporting electricity made with thermal coal to Asia when all his greenie buds are against coal usage here. By his logic we should export loaves of bread instead of wheat as well. And veggies instead of potash. And nuclear warheads instead of yellowcake.

My next door neighbor is contacting the company as he is interested in buying one of the small wind turbines for his property. Way to go, Sask!
