As I wrote, Bear, you are a fool and a liar. You post nothing of substance. You twist and misrepresent others. You, frankly, are showing yourself to be rather a slimy character. You try to cover your weaknees by attacking others.

And if the experts on climate change are right then Harper and the rest of the deniers in power can do a whole lot more damage to human civilization in total than all the psychopaths in history combined.
The way I see it is we've got a choice, we can turn the other cheek and let the current abusers of power have their way with us or stand up and demand real change for real benefit for all of us.

It comes before that in holding our government to account, democracy is about much more than just showing up to vote.
I have asked for example if you read the reports on the Royal Commisssion on Somalia- Your reply was it was completed - yet it states in the report, by the people the Govt appointed it was not. And no reply.
I asked why only 1 person was charged - a Private - whom I have met and yes we disccussed the incident for quite some time. I am also ex Army. And yes it was a frank talk - man to man-
If you know a way to get someone with power to go counter to what he/she holds sacred, more power to you. Until then, short of a coup, all you can do is make waves like anyone else.

Maybe it is your values that are out of sync with the rest of the population.While I am certainly no fan of Harper or his fundie backers I have noticed that the economy is doing much better and taxes are lower than under the previous Liberal government. People that are willing to get out and work are doing well.
Now if you are a freeloader it may not look so good.
Harper did remove the longgun registry as promised and if you value freedom this is indeed a step in the right direction.
