and how do you figure I am a "jew"? I identify as Roman Catholic, but you know that already, and my ethnic heritage is French and North American Native. Where does the "jew" come in?
Still reading, you sure you are Christian some very strange quotes if you are and you do have some knowledge most often only a Jew would know.

"and I don't mean the garbage spewed by Paul of Tsarsis."

"Let's put it another way MHZ....revelations was written by a doped up bible thumper who was stuck on himself and his kelidescopic dreams. IMNSHO it's wool and bullshyte."

"The word "Torah" is a tricky one, because it can mean different things in different contexts. In its most limited sense, "Torah" refers to the Five Books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. But the word "torah" can also be used to refer to the entire Jewish bible (the body of scripture known to non-Jews as the Old Testament and to Jews as the Tanakh or Written Torah), or in its broadest sense, to the whole body of Jewish law and teachings."

Not sure why you didn't clear the mistake this far back when I said this, "Why do you get so upset when an obvious troll thread gets a response? RCC and Jewish would make you doubly mentally challenged, probably not very good at either, lol."

You mean like when I told you that Christianity followed Judaism, not the other way around as you claimed?

That doesn't make anyone Jewish, it just makes them smarter than you.

And that's not even that hard to be.

Sorry, guys and SLM. Must go eat a jelly and peanut-butter sandwich. I'll be back as it is snowing and too difficult to rake the lawn.
Question
Could a person still be a Catholic if Italy (and along with it, the Vatican) became a part of Switzerland?

Hmn...

Good question.

I don't think so, though. The mafia in Italy would just take over all the banks in Switzerland and make it a bigger, badder Italy.

And I think China would just imprison all the Muslims for not liking their food.

(and if none of that makes sense, I blame the new meds I'm on cause it makes perfect sense to me right now)

still waiting for the proof, the apology, or you leaving.
Still looking, originally I was going to post it and let it go, now I'm going to ask you top keep the deal you made and since you don't own me I'll make my own deals thank you very much.
BTW you made the deal about yourself and then added the part about me, typical of you no doubt. How many strikes against you so far loser? Perhaps I'll use "QUOTE=gerryh" as the search term this time.

Oh yes, the thread topic. When Israel signed UN 273 just what conditions were imposed and what were the 'grievous consequences' of not following through on their pledge??

Stop trying to change the subject and put up or apologize.

Shouldn't all this "who said what?" be in a separate thread instead of plugging up this one. Personal grudge matches should be in Wreck Beach, shouldn't they?

The Roman Empire physically expired, we still are under parts of Roman Law and ancestors are forever named for the place s they were born as having the same borders as when they were born.

Being Jewish does not require a person to be in Jerusalem or have an land called Israel in order to be in connection with God or to be 'safe from persecution'. From De:4:30 on it tells the 12 Tribes that they can pray to God in times of 'trouble' and if He is going to help He will respond and this was made before they started killing OT Prophets so the number that it would work for has been greatly reduced. So prayer takes care of the being without a homeland, Daniel did it and it worked just fine, no need to go over how it worked for Moses. (he was not able to repent the murder that kept him out of the promised land, really it was because he was 120 and that is as old as we are allowed to get)

If it is persecution for other reason that Gentile fight over then don't do whatever it is. That would have a lot to do with, in revolts certain people are targeted for removal, the best way to survive a revolt by the peasants (who else ever goes into violent revolt) is to not be part of the targeted groups. Bankes who charge excessive interest, Politicians that are crooked, and business owners who maximize their profits and purposely make shoddy goods or news men who print lies rather than facts. Society tries to get rid of those persons because they are a blight on a smoothly running society rather than it being about anything else, like where you lived 2,000 years ago. It takes a majority of actual people to rule in this world and Jews are a minority so they get to be watchers rather than doesrs. Try to sneak around and change that by doing back-room deals, ....... then don't bitch when the mob catches you and kills you and maybe your whole family as they did only about 100 yrs ago in just a routine takeover.

Did Canada set the precedent when we barred people from coming here to speak on matter our Gov (not the people) wanted banned. Galloway also won a court-case over that treatment did he not?

Israeli Police on Alert at Airport for Pro-Palestinian Activist Gathering

This is while Israel and NATO are actively sending such groups (protesters against the established Government) into Syria and they are making sure they have as much firepower as they can carry. It is not 1 man 1 weapon crossing, it is 3 men and enough weapons for 50 fighters.
Nobody see a double standard there?

Here is another quote of yours ger , not the one I'm going to find but it is getting closer.

Yes, this would have been where you basically stated that the Talmud and the Quran came from the Christian OT. Showing your stupidity loud and clear for all to see.

Dear Mildly Concerned (Spade)
Rake, why in Heaven’s name would you rake. Use your lawnmower - get that nice even topping across the snow. Show your neighbors the initiative and problem solving skills you have.
Why I am sure it will give them pause for thought.

Note - If you see 2 or more large men dressed in white walking in your direction. Run like Hell as it ain't the Glad Man, these men are very very dangerous.

Too bad the thread is so old it can't be revived. Perhaps you and Bear wear the same colored glasses.

""These guys" are not suggesting that the Torah came from or were based on the Old Testament Christian Bible, which you did. The FACT is, the Christian Old Testament Bible comes from the Jewish Torah, or the "written Torah"."

Even after I post this??

Like these guys?

Name applied to the five books of Moses, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The contents of the Torah as a whole are discussed, from the point of view of modern Biblical criticism, under Pentateuch, where a table gives the various sources; while its importance as a center of crystallization for the Hebrew canon is treated under Bible Canon. The present article, therefore, is limited to the history of the Pentateuch in post-Biblical Judaism.

The Torah is also known as the Chumash, Pentateuch or Five Books of Moses.

BTW this is how Bear finished it off.

"My bad, you're so all over the place, it's sometimes hard to decipher your posts.
The Torah is the combination of all encompassed Judaism. The translation being learning or instruction, and sometimes Law, mistakenly. Giving a common misconception. So you aren't alone in your error.
Where as the Talmud is what is used in the dispensing of Jewish law. Being a repository of Rabbinic discussions on the Laws passed down through the Torah.
So on the surface, I could be considered incorrect."

You going to ignore the thread over your lapse in memory (for how this ended as well as you saying, 'Can't I be both?' statement.

still haven't proven your assertion that I said I was Jewish. You ready to apologize for that misrepresentation? You ready to admit that you were wrong?

Also, obviously the thread is not so old that it can't be revived. You have quoted from it. But, you have not quoted where I made these statements that you allege.

I'm not done looking yet. It wasn't so much you said it as implied it by 'saying a person could be both' and the Apostles and many Jews today are Christian. Truthfully I should have found it by now as I remember most of the exact words. No way to tell if it was in a purged post so you do have an apology coming as I haven't found it yet.

That being said there were two opportunities to just state that you weren't one.
