Independent Jewish Voices (IJV) Canada has voted to endorse the Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ), an International non-violent event taking place in Jerusalem on March 30th. IJV Canada will be represented at the Global March by Vancouver Chapter member Maxine Kaufman-Lacusta, author of Refusing to be Enemies: Palestinian and Israeli Nonviolent Resistance to the Israeli Occupation. Maxine will travel to Jerusalem to join the event in person.

What a ridiculous argument. Few Jews lived on the Saudi Peninsula and those that did, didn't have any problems with their Arab neighbors until after Zionists started an ethnic cleansing war to cleanse Palestine of Palestinians. The fact is in 1946, Jews owned and lived on a small fraction of what is today Israel. Most Jews in Israel live on land taken by force from Palestinians through deliberate ethnic cleansing.

I'm pretty sure I can find all kinds of references of Colpy where supports the right of people to defend themselves from attack, even resorting to lethal force if necessary. Yet Colpy still won't comment when Israelis attack Palestinian civilians. Suddenly Colpy has no opinion, regarding the right of people to defend themselves.

I could imagine how Colpy would react if his house was suddenly surrounded by an angry mob intent on burning his house and killing his family, because he wasn't the same religion as them.

Initially the police and military never charged a single Israeli settler. They never investigated any of the above violence, even though the next morning many homes were smoldering ruins. Later one settler was charged, but only after Btselem posted the above video on the internet. Later the charges were dropped:

Few Israeli settlers are ever held accountable for attacking and even killing Palestinians, let alone destroying Palestinian property.

BTW, Israeli laws effectively prevent Palestinians from legally building new homes. So if the settlers burns a Palestinian home and the owners are too poor to rebuild it right away, they risk having their property declared abandoned and expropriated by the the Zionist State of Israel. Jewish settlers know they are potentially making Palestinians homeless when they try to destroy their homes. Jewish settlers refer to their violent destruction of Palestinian homes as "redeeming the land". Every human rights group including Jewish and Israeli ones call there actions ethnic cleansing.
